I've had many cases where cops pull me over just to check out the ride, I average at least one person a day who takes cell phone pics. I was once in a parking lot...had people pull from off the street just to take a better look at my car, drive around my car, even had a cop pull his spotlight all over my car while I was hiding in the back of the same parking lot in a friend's car.

 

OK. There is a story here somewhere. Let's have it!

 

I swear that day I didn't outrun a cop. They weren't lookin 4 me

i had a guy pull up to my parking lot at work jump off a minivan and started snappin' pictures like he just spotted lindsey lohan topless
it was kinda weird to see that.....my buddy next door ran inside my shop to tell me to look out the window

 

Had that happen...while I was walking up to ours I saw a guy with a phone camera. Thinking to myself, it's not that interesting. As we came up...he asked if this was ours..yup. I look at the front and he'd backed his car into it damaging the bumper. About the only ones who photo are car are the insurance adjusters to record the damage. I can do without that.

 

Man that stinks! That is a time where you open a can of whoopa$$

 

well.....I think that happens to every car even my Modded GS350 gets attention pretty often as well.....

 

it happens..and you got to admit..you LOVED that attention,,right?
people used to give me a thumbs up $ took pics of my previous car..
it was 07 G35 6MT..it is very common to see it in LA, but I still got their
attention with small mod (Spoiler, KenStyle bodykit etc...)

 

Now I know how it feels to be blind-sided. I just returned from a ride to the store. I'm riding 60 mph then I see a light in my mirror. I think it's a cop and broke it down. Not seeing a cop I started speeding again. I see 2 more light flashes. Then I realized it's the car next to me taking pics. I never minded before but this caught me off guard. The guy didn't ask and what really bothers me is he got directly behind me for a couple shots. I tried to chase him down to check him out but he sped away....which bothers me more. If this was just innocent pics, why run off.
Very unnerving experience.

 

I'll admit.. I do that sometimes if the car is hot enough Don't use my camera phone but my DSLR! Last one I did was of a Ferrari F430. I try to be quick about it. But if they did come out I'd just tell them I thought it was a car worth photographing. So if someone were taking of my car, I'd take that as a compliment.

 

i bought my IS-F on 9/17 and in the morning of 9/18 when i was on my way to work and dropping my mom off at my sister's place, we saw 2 people taking pictures of my car while we were on the 91 heading west....i wonder if its a good thing or a bad thing? maybe it's "whoa this car is ugly".......?

maybe it's because it's an ultrasonic IS-F?
