There were 2 other pulls. On the last "jump" to peak the car was retarding timing due to detonation. I had sub-par gas and after the car was hot from the first run it was clearly working to protect itself at the peak. The guys in the shop said that QT and Mobil gas in their experience (around here at least) has given the best numbers on their dyno. Chevron has been the worst(detonates early).

I'll post all three runs once I get into the office.. I have the raw dyno files so I can play with them all I want.
The HP numbers for the other two runs weren't very far off, and were 355 and 353 (SAE corrected), but the graphs look significantly different due to the protection mechanisms.

Hmmm, maybe I should switch off of Chevron for my IS350.
Thats all I have used on my Lexus' since i moved to Cali back in 2002.
- It might be the Techron additive that causes the early detonation with the Chevron fuel.

Well I asked the guys in the shop if "Texaco" with techron was OK, and they replied "Anything with Techron is bad". It may have been a generalized statement, but I'm only going to use QT and Mobil from now on. Haha. If I can talk a friend into hopping on the dyno, I may do another 3 pulls and see if the different fuel does in fact help.

great numbers, good to see the info. Technically guys, the car should make more power with age as the rings micro seat and the break in oil is changed out. My experience anyway with properly broken in motors. Only time you should loose power is when the rings relax and more blow-by occurs.

All 3 runs on one graph. Notice the flatter "peak" area in the 2nd and 3rd runs.
