Love the pictures and the car. Very nice shots. What camera did you use? The other day I saw an IS-F on the freeway. It looks so much nicer in real life and in a real surrounding. The car looks mean and fast.

I just have an old Canon Digital Rebel - 1st generation. It's been a great camera for me for the past 5 years, but it is time to upgrade soon. For the lens, I bought a Canon 85mm f1.8, which allows a really shallow depth of field, especially when you are up close. Love the car too! It's been amazing so far.

Glad the wife is on board! I had a tough sell for my wife too, but she loves it now. I had an M3 that was a manual, and she couldn't drive that, so I think she is just happy to have something she gets to play with too!
By the way, I noticed your screen name... Who do you fly for? I'm a 767 captain for United.

Sure! First, it's an automatic, so she can drive it, unlike my M3. Second, it's a Lexus, and rides like a Lexus (sort of) until you hit 4000 RPM's. Next, it has 4 doors and a full sized back seat, so car seats are certainly an option. It will last forever, and should be very reliable. Last, with the 2009's coming out, and the economy in the tank, it's a GREAT time to get a deal on the car if you are willing to shop around a little bit. It has all the goodies that you would want in a car. Just get her in it for a test drive, and she should be hooked... my wife was.

I'm out in Maui on a trip, so don't have the particulars with me, but I shot that sequence at ISO 200, with my 85mm f1.8 lens. I had it stopped all the way open to 1.8, which is what gives it the really narrow DOF. The shutter speed I'm not sure about, but it really is whatever the lighting requires, as I was prioritizing the DOF. Glad you like it, and thanks!
