Nice, but as expected and as I have seen before torque is not than linear and takes a dump at 5 grand! Damn yamaha/Skunk2 tune with the 2UR-GSE engine!

WOW! Driven both back to back on a track, and there is no comparison! I love my IS350, but the IS-F is in a totally different zip code. Though I must say, the acceleration was not what impressed me the most. It was the braking, i was amazed how well the car braked, and no fade whatsoever.

It would be cool if drag strips timed 0-60mph as well as 0-60ft mark.

I think you misunderstood me,
It is not that I was not impressed, of course I WAS! But the braking prowess on the track really shines.

Hummmm...

I know a lot of people say the braking power feels completely different (from the is350).

But a few members on this forum will insist that the brake upgrade has nothing to do with the stopping power of the car.

So be for-warned. Its, got to be those damed ps2's

But to be fair, the car is setup completely different than the is350 (stock vs stock)

Stiffer Springs, Shocks, Wider tires, stiffer sways, stiffer under chassis support, etc..

So all that, might result in better stopping distances/power.

So before this thread completely goes off into something not related to an IS-F, let's focus on the stock dyno results in the thread title.

What gear was your dyno run in? You are showing almost 22ft/lb of torque than I am...

I'll see if they can provide me with an SAE version. It was a while ago. I'd guess i'm only going to see more disappointing results?

PS - my runs were done in 4th gear per SRT's recommendation.
How did you not hit the speed limiter in 6th?

Actually once you get SAE correction done you just may be happily surprised. The temps, pressure, humidity all play a role in making power so one day you could be putting down 333hp and the next 353.

6th gear is the 1:1 gear for the IS-F and it's just like dynoing any other gear. I just think some shops are scared to dyno a car with the wheels spinning that fast.

when you "test drive" and it's not yours...and you're not gonna get one...what else can you say?

Man the F is great...my car sucks?

Gotta make your own car better...."yeah...the F doesn't seem that much faster than my 350"
