Default Intake HELP!

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for your input...well i decided recently that I was going to purchase a intake for my F. The only thing that I am having a problem on is which one to buy...

I want just a regular intake....not the one from SRT with the ecu plug or whatever and not the one from Joe Z which is pretty much just the sleeve and it still keeps the stock air box. I would like a intake that removes the airbox but does not need to be solderd in to any wires.... Is there even one out like that yet or should i keep waiting...

and does anyone know if any other companys i.e. (AEM, FUJITA,) are planing on coming out with an intake???

i would personally go with the Joe Z.. even if it does use our stock airbox.
if the sound of using the stock airbox bothers you, why don't you buy the SRT and just not install the chip?

Exclamation Warning SRT doesn't recommend doing that!

Not sure why but SRT highly recommends against installing their Intake without wiring ECU panel. But I guess it's your car so go ahead and try that.

no im not gonna spend that kinda money to not even use it to its full potential....i guess i will just wait.. another thing thats keeping me away from the SRT is that I "raced" a fellow member who had the SRT intake and I murderd him... I mean, I think I was in M and he was in D or maybe...i dunno. But it is what it is. It just felt that when we both flored it, my cars reaction time just caught so much quicker than his and im wondering if it was his SRT ecu that messed up his computer to not react as quick....and we did it twice. Both times the same thing. But who knows..

must have been the driver...LOL If you install the Intake without the ECU the car wont start, it happened to me.... The JoeZ intake removes the sleeve and they have dynod 5whp maybe a couple more with a K&N, Amsoil or AFE drop in filter. The SRT is claiming 20whp, I am thinking those numbers are a bit exagerated. And Yes I raced db and got spanked oh well it was a fun run...

Hey tastemydus what are you impressions on the srt intake? Do you feel your getting the claimed 20whp? Less than 20whp? Or less than stock?
