Default Is upgrading from IS350 to IS-F worth the money?

I own a 2006 IS350 described below and have really enjoyed it. Test drove the IS-F recently, liked it even more, and really would prefer it over my IS350. Dealer has four 2008's left and will deal down to $56,000. However, I am not sure the IS-F is worth the additional money for the difference in these two cars. Any previous IS350 owners out there that can help? What do you think when you compare the two cars? Thanks!

I've had a couple IS350's. It was worth it to me. Way more power, tighter handling, exclusivity, 2 extra gears, 19's, Brembo, etc.

I would say that if you have to ask yourself that question, then it is probably not worth it to you.

That a very subjective question. If you have the money to burn and want an extra 100 HP (among other things), then it's probably worth upgrading.

But this guy said it best:

Yes! I've owned an ECUTEK tuned WRX STi, REVO tuned Audi S4, AA E46 M3, and by far the IS-F is the best car all around I have ever owned. Golf clubs in the back, 28 mpg on long road trips, luxury car with a wicked stepsister awaiting in the form of a Skunk works 2UR-GSE engine of death! GO FOR IT!!!!

I've had no regrets so far trading in my IS350 for the IS-F.

As was already said, your question was very subjective. You will also get many biased opinions in this forum.

Having said that:

There is no other Lexus that comes close to the "feel" of the ISF with a WOT.

You will never get close to the gap in bolts on. From the engineering aspect, there are so many things working together here...its amazing. I drove the 350 for consideration but afterwards its like dating the uglier roomate. You always wish you could get back in to talk to the hotter version. Just go drive one.

The IS-F is a great car but for the money, I'd buy a newer IS and hook it up. Hard to say cause the IS-F has a huge following.
