Default gas mileage

i have about 200 miles on my f, and i see the mpg at 13.3-13.8 mpg. i do all city driving also. Why am i getting such poor gas milage? i am in break in period so i always use automatic mode and never go over 2,500 rpm.

even at highway i am getting only 14.6mpg. wth is going on?

This was the same for me when my F was new. Give it about a 1k miles or so and it improved significantly.

Yup, I saw an improvement after the break-in period as well. I started off getting about 15mpg, and recently it's shot up to about 18mpg. Mostly city/traffic driving too. I'm in sport+manual most of the time.

Check your tire pressure, I just fixed mine and my MPG went up.

200 miles is still the original tank of gas. Maybe they put cheap gas in it. I'm averaging over 20mpg for 10K miles.

The first 10,000 miles I was at 18.9 mpg overall. For the last 3,000 miles I'm at 19.1 mpg. I do a combination of highway and city. I would say 40% highway and 60% city.

I've got over 11K km on my car and am getting significantly better mileage. I'm averaging about 18 mpg for city driving and 23.5 mpg on the highway

Hope you get yours sorted out as it should be better....unless you're driving it in manual sport constantly and walking on it EVERY time...lol.

i have 7700 miles on it... and i average literally 10.5-11.5... on a good tank 12... (for city)... once in a while.. i will have to travel far distances on the highway.. and can make it all the way to about 27 average..
