Can you pull the light assembly out, and can the shop fill in the outline with more tint?

So you can just pop it out? Where are the clips?

OK...talked to Tint shop, they said that to let the back dry and then he can patch in a piece and you won't even notice it

Unreal!

A good tinter (yes I know that's not a word LOL) would be able to get underneath.

Hm.. I had mine tinted no problem. You should request that they re-do the back without patching it.

If you can't see a line or notice a difference what's the point? Tint is heat treated to window so does it matter long term either way? I give up!!!!

when I got mine tinted in the back, they used a long thin spatula device to go behind the light.

The tint shop I took mine to had no problems around the brake light. I would be concerned with the 'two' piece approach and seeing the demarkation line after some time has past.

Are you all using the tint they use on windows or did anyone buy the plastic tint covers?

Removing it should be the same way as removing it from any IS250/350. Reason why someone in that section would have taken it apart is to put in the "third brake riser" for when they add on the option trunk spoiler.

But yeah, it shouldn't have been an issue to cover that part. The place I took my GS to did it without a problem... the only problem was they left a tiny air bubble.
