Timetoy is right, try to sell the car yourself, even if it takes six months. You'd be lucky if dealer gives you 80% of "KBB trade-in value". The thing is the economy is working against you (for your trade-in) and for you (for the purchase)...

Find out how much dealer willing to give you and compare to average asking price on autotrader. I would trade it in if it's few grand$ off. It just for the fact that I don't have to deal with shoddy buyers, tire kickers, low ballers or may get my a## kicked during test drive.

I do have a steady job and make decent money. I can afford the car, it just might slightly affect my drinking/entertainment funds.
I'm just undecided. I think its the factor of having the "fast" "sporty" version of the car that's killing me.
