again thank u... for anyone who tries to help me.
i am really lookin forward for be mod to be done.
i cant wait... and see the results.
Those black clips that you're having difficulty with really aren't so tough once you get used to them.

They are designed that the middle must first be pushed in slightly to release a lower (unseen) clip.

Then you can either pry or grab with a fingernail the sides of the larger plastic part to remove.

Once out, push the middle (smaller) section back and out. Re-install the larger section first carefully so that the body of it fits well into the hole and then slide the smaller (locking) middle section into the lower section to lock.
It's locked again when flush with the larger base section.

BTW, is there a way to disable DRL? Sometimes I rather not have them on.
Well, they run in full power (high beam) mode all the time thanks to the module, so they are brighter when they are DRL's. When used as high beams, they are probably not as bright as stock. I used them the other night, and I was actually surprised at how effective they were as high beams. I was pretty sure they were just going to be for show, but they DO work.

Can you post up some pics of them being used as high beams to see how much light they give off?

Gonna make me take the covers off huh?? Just kidding. Sure, I'll get out there and shoot some pics of that stuff over the next day or so. When you get in there and look, it will all become pretty obvious. Drat. I should have taken some pictures while I was doing the light swap... that would have been the smart thing to do. I have a new flash coming in the next couple of days which should shed much better light on the scene from my camera. As soon as that comes in, I'll get in there and show you what I'm referring to

Well, indirectly I did.... The reason for the module is that it puts the DRL's at full power all the time. Whereas the stock bulbs have a low power setting as DRL's and a high power setting as High Beams, the LED's with the module just run on high power all the time - both as DRL's and High Beams.

What you are probably asking for is a shot of what they look like on vs. low beams only on. I'll take a shot of that over the next day or so as well and post it up. As I mentioned up above somewhere, I was quite pleasantly surprised at their High Beam power... I really didn't notice much (if any) performance decrease using them in the real world vs. the stock bulbs.

What a great look for the DRL's. Well worth sacrificing the high beams IMO.

Totally agree. I have been pleasantly surprised at how little I actually sacrificed with the high beams. They are still quite bright.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just bought fog lights and high beams/daytime running lights. I've heard about that wiring harness thing necessary for the high beams so the daytime running lights are always at full power. I'm just not sure if that's necessary for all brands of lights. The lights i bought are....

fog lights = PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow H11 55W
high beams= PIAA 9005 Super Plasma GT-X

In the description of the 9005 super plasma gt-x high beams, it says "PIAA GT-X replacement bulbs are designed with an exclusive purple low beam and an Xtreme White high beam."

Does this mean it's a straight install swap? And I don't need the wiring harness thing.... thank you for anyone who can help. Whether I bring it to lexus to have the lights installed or do it myself...i just want to make sure they are done right the first time. And I don't run into a problem because that wiring harness thing wasn't installed. thanks
