I know, but where's the weight savings? Usually the formula is for every 100 lbs. lost, you lose 1/10 of a second of your time. Drop 200 lbs, spare tire, tools, heavy OEM seats etc. and you're running 12 flat. Again awesome pass. I'm wondering if the 12.38 was with a stock IS-F? If so, intake and exhaust are helping you drop just a 1/10 off your time!

Thanks Tooth! Yeah the year is definitely not over yet. Our local tracks are open until 12/18, so I have some time left trying for an even lower 12 second run. Now if only the darn weather would cooperate.

Considering my DA was less than half what it was when I ran a 12.38 last year and the slight headwinds I think the JoeZ exhaust/Intake combo is working out favorably. Thanks again Joe for the quality products.

Congrats Caymandive!! You can tell those DR's are the main advantage. The best time with one of your lowest MPH's. I can see you getting 12.1 easy with better DA & DR's

btw, i'm not throwing the towel in yet, they open the track back up in Feb. I'll try then.

Default 12.20@117.49

So close to hitting a 12.1 today! The DA was nothing fantastic at a -451ft and there were no headwinds this time. I was also getting more 1.90 60's, but still not in the 1.8's. There are two more weekends left until the local tracks close down and if one of them shows significantly better weather conditions I'm going to go back and hopefully best my runs today.

I also noticed something and it's something that Toothdoc mentioned awhile ago. I'm getting quicker runs by letting the revs hit the limiter for a split moment in each gear before making an upshift. odd but true.

Top 3 runs out of 8 today.

Awesome stuff cayman, I'm most impressed by your trap speeds (117 mph) Only a matter of time before we see the first 11 second IS-F

Great times and trap! I definitely see a 12.1 or 12.0x if you get crazy DA and maybe 119! WOW. I'm glad you see that the bouncing off the rev limiter helps a touch - I don't know why either, but I typically see 1 more mph or so. Also, next time you go, try to keep the intake manifold cold while keeping the engine warm. How? After a run, drive around for a couple of minutes to keep engine warm but to keep fresh cold air to keep the manifold cold. I have a suspicion this works but haven't done it yet. My best runs were after taking a drive to get some gas and when I first get there from off the highway.

I almost went today, but the pressure was like 29.7 mm Hg and I wasn't going to break any personal records today. I hope the dragstrip is open a couple more weekends.

BTW, my battery thing is working quite well. I've used my light battery for a whole week and I charged up the battery and only .5 amps goes in until it's fully charged. The battery capacity is 12 amps.

Keep up the good work caymandive - it seems like it's a one horse race for now unless Oztiks decides to run again.

I'm officially retired from racing for 2009. Calling for snow tomorrow and looks like rain next weekend. My goal for 2009 was to beat my time from last year by at least a tenth with the JoeZ exhaust and intake and I've done that. My goal for 2010 will be..12.0x or better? I guess it depends on whether or not some good headers will be released with no cats and a successful way to simulate the o2 sensors.

It appears that Caymandive won again this year - we need to get a trophy that has the last two years on it. We need to have his name engraved on it. We'll transfer the trophy from winner to winner each year... anybody up for it?

PM your email address that we could paypal the winnings to.

ToothDoc, is the below list of players accurate? If so I will PM each with email address for paypal winnings and update the list below with status. Thanks for putting this together again. Next year pending available mods maybe a 12.0? Had I not been lazy and gone to the track on 12/12 I am pretty confident I could have clicked off a 12.0 or better. The DA was superb with a very good tailwind. A buddy of mine with a HR 350Z stock including tires clicked off a 13.1@108mph run that day!

1. ToothDoc (PAID)
2. caymandive (N/A)
3. JoeZ (PAID)
4. Juanca (PAID)
5. Oztiks (PAID)
