Thanks for the link! They seemed a little impressed, at least with the sound and brakes. "You wouldn't expect this from a Lexus" haha

I guess I gotta be a dork
Great to watch the TG guys tear it apart. Clarkson will always speak his truth so not too worried about the bias. I have to wonder what the time would have with trac ON haha. The ISF has a slight bit of soft nature in it because I think it would be hard to ween the japanese off the luxury in the first sitting, after all they had to prove they could sell it. The rest of the work can be left to the owner to dial in
That which differentiates us, the fact that ISF owners are willing to mod, the M3 owners...probably not so much. Been witing for this one for a while guys, thanks for the links.

I haven't seen the episode but here is a summary:

Sounds like praise for the IS F, although it might not have unseated its rival in this test, it nonetheless did change perceptions.
OTOH they then go on the blast the styling of the G37 convertible and SC 430 later on, lol.

Kicking off the show, a take on the latest crop of sports saloon. First up, the BMW M3 four-door. Jeremy begs to disagree with everyone else who says the M3 has toned down. However, that would’ve been quite a short take if that ended there so they took out the Lexus IS-F with which to compare the M3.
A classic Clarkson quote with “…driving a Lexus has always been like sitting in a bucket of warm wallpaper paste while reading a Jane Austen novel. But with this one, they say they’ve built an M3 killer.”
Now to prove that, they pitted the two cars in a drag race and what do you know, the M3 still won though theoretically, the Lexus should win. Blame the distance of the drag race perhaps. Next task - a dog fight with Clarkson in the Lexus and Tom Chilton in the M3 and Clarkson was able to keep up. Conclusion: “The Lexus does a lot of things briliantly, the BMW, it does everything brilliantly.” Handing it over to the Stig, the IS-F made a 1:26.9 lap. The M3 did it 1:25.3.
