shoot I was kind of hoping you'd say stuff like "nah wait the market's crashing 08's will depreciate big time 1 month from now and you'll get even better in jan"
looks like I may be forced to pull trigger. fingers crossed.

Please do post how your deal works out for the rest of us considering getting an IS-F. I had seen a listing on another forum for one from a dealer for an IS F w/ 4100 miles for $52,873. I know that particular one seemed to have everything though and I'm not sure how that compares to your package. If the packages are comparable, brand new at $53,400 makes me believe that the 4100-miles IS-F I saw has room to go lower in price.
I myself am hoping to see if some lower prices are possible because even at $53k, a new one is still out of my reach. I may have to go w/ a model with mileage, or "settle" for an IS 350.

IMHO you'll be happier with a low-mileage F than a virgin IS350. I was prepared to go that route (used F) until an acceptable deal for a new one popped up. If I were doing it again knowing what I know *right now* I would be looking at lightly used examples exclusively vice new.
Worst case, you'll end up "settling" for an IS350 which is a damn nice car, just oriented differently than the IS-F. Not a bad outcome either way.
