So..How are you ISF owners doing in the Snow??

I actually find it starts the fastest in normal mode with trac off (but not VDIM off). So, until you reach 30 mph, you can spin a bit more and once you hit 30 mph, trac is back on. Snow mode is just too freaking slow and sport mode has too much torque. I've had no problems going to and from work - however, days like today remind me of how sweet it was to drive the RX400 with Pirelli Scorpion snow tires on AWD. Nothing beats AWD with snow tires on all corners.

I tried going out in the snow again with the F. I actually do like starting out in regular mode better than snow to get up and running from a stop. But I did notice when I put it in manual mode (when it was cold) that it did not go to M1 but defaulted to M2. Have you noticed that in your f? I just switched to see how well it would perform and was surprised that M2 was showing and not M1. Later M1 showed up once I drove the car a bit more. If someone can test this for me when the car is cold just switching to manual if it shows M2 I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Other than that the car worked better than my first time trying in the snow. Last time I used snow mode the whole time. You just have to be easy on the throttle when driving.

Actually I called Lexus and they said that displaying M2 is normal if the transmission is cold and the car detects wheel slipping. In my case, I drove in D mode and the car slipped a little. As a result, when I shift into M mode it goes straight to M2. Just thought I'd let you know what I learned. Cheers!

Yeah I didn't know that either. If you're going to try that, I'd start the car and let it warm up for a few minutes. While warming up you can even shift to manual mode and it will say "M1". If you put it back in D and create a little slipping on the snow, it should tell the transmission to go in safe mode. After you've accelerated, slipped, then come to a stop, you'll notice if you shift into manual it should say "M2". This is nothing really useful, but at least if anyone sees this it's normal.
