It had to be dynoed in 6th gear - the MPH dictates so. 6th gear tops out around 170 mph.

BTW, would you ever consider selling the WHOLE thing? ECU with the tuning on? I'm aware it'll cost more, but if it's as easy as swapping ECUs (I'm assuming it's just a plug and maybe some screws?) I'd gladly buy it and install it and later on, I can just swap it and sell the "tuned" ecu to another IS-F guy.

I'm assumining you're working on some sort of intake box/gasket also hence the question re: Ohio and Maryland.

We need a VIN sychned ECU to code. You can buy a spare ECU have it synched at your dealer then send it to us.

Andy,

Are the ECU (Engine Control Unit) and TCU (Transmission Contol Unit) contained within a single unit are or they separate? If we were to buy a spare VIN synched ECU would that be sufficient?

Andy,

I just sent you all 3 raw WinPEP dyno files. They were done in 6th gear, so confirmed it was a 1:1 gearing. For the records traction control was OFF and in SPORT mode.

The numbers vary from SAE to uncorrected, and from 0 smoothing to 5. Here are some graphs that show this:

UNCORRECTED - SMOOTHING 0: 360.61 RWHP / 354.73 ft-lbs

SAE CORRECTED - SMOOTHING 0: 351.73 RWHP / 346.00 ft-lbs

SAE CORRECTED - SMOOTHING 5: 349.34 RWHP / 344.54 ft-lbs

Last night I drove all the way to Moroso (looooong drive) and what a nice racetrack! My plan was to do all my runs in the same way I drive my car on the road, that means full interior (didn't remove the spare tire or jack), without lowering the tire pressure or switching tires. Since we don't have launch control (hint Andy, you can make this happen as well) I was thinking about launching at 1000 RPM and keep increasing the revs in following runs so I can find the perfect spot. Well, things didn't go as planned because after my first pass the track crew decided to not let me go again until I get a helmet, they said my times require a helmet. Of course I didn't have one, and they don't rent them, so I drove for more than 3 hours, 200 miles, and got only one pass. I wasn't bad anyway, here are the details:

R/T: ---- 0.175
60': ---- 2.083
330: ---- 5.584
1/8: ---- 8.426
MPH: ---- 87.14
1000: --- 10.849
1/4: ---- 12.800
MPH: ---- 111.42

If this is good enough I can ship the ECU as soon as I get details about how to remove it, otherwise I'd have to wait until next weekend to get more passes.

if everything goes well with this... this car will literally be one of the fastest street cars! for the price (in most cases already is)...

faster then all but 1 model of aston martin, a handful of Porsche's, bentley's, jaguar's.. ect ect

Top 5? I had no idea, thanks.

I had around 3/8 of fuel in the tank, and I used the paddles. At what RPM do you launch your car? I had no chance to try different leves.

I've found that launching around 1000-1100rpm works best. From there it's just a matter of hoping the track is prepped enough so the tires don't start spinning out of control. 10% slip is ideal.

Thanks for putting the time in, and get a helmet you only have one noggin!!!

That's satisfactory for us, you really went above and beyond to get things done quickly and it is highly appreciated!

We're ready for your ECU. If you still need removal instructions let me know and I'll call you tomorrow.

Thanks!
Andy

I'd also like to see those removal instructions, Andy, if you could post them or pm them please. (there are probably others here whom could use them too)

My Lex. isn't as familiar to me as other rides I've had..
Cheers
Colin.
