I'm 32, and the funny thing is that when I recently bought my ISF my wife told me it looked like a "Fast & Furious" boy-racer car. She tried to tell me I'm about 10 years too old to be driving a car like this, and I told her it's nearly a $70K new fully loaded and there's no way a "boy racer" could even afford a car like this. Guess I was wrong because I just read this thread and I think there are more 18-25 yr olds who own these cars than 30+ yr olds!

And I don't know how/why all you younger guys are paying cash for these cars - my wife & I together make well over 6-figures and we own 2 rental properties and a business, and I took out a loan for mine. I could have paid cash but it would have nearly drained our bank account and I felt that 4% financing was pretty cheap money. If I were 20-something and had $40-$60K cash I certainly wouldn't plunk it all down on a car when that money can be used for other investments that will net you much more than the interest you'd pay on a loan.

Exactly. I'm not saying that they didn't have the cash to do it but they definitely already had their foot in the door with either their parents company or some unique prosperous company. Good for them! Just don't say that you worked your butt off for an ISF if your young as you have yet gone through many of life's struggles.

Exactly- My loan is at 2.4%. I can get around an effective 60% yield on my money through company stock purchase. I won't be paying down my car loan any time soon when I have an investment opportunity like that.

Let's stick to the topic and leave the money discussions in the Clubhouse or Debate forums.

Post your age. That's what this thread is about.

Let's see Harry S. Truman was still POTUS when I was...............

Last week I had a co-worker tell me: "she does not see too many old guys driving a car like that, most are in SUV's, and at her age she would not even be driving it". I just laughed, I do have a SUV, but the F is my toy and I love driving it.

29 going on 53. I have taken a beating in my twenties. Challenges, annoyances, taxes, more bills and aggravations since day 1 10 years ago.

The F makes me feel young again, but my other son, my LS460 is still my favorite.
