29, with a mortgage and the regular bills that come with ownership of a townhouse (freehold). This is only a summer car, I have a company issued work van (they pay for the fuel also) I use the rest of the time. Gave my first car to my mother, if I need to borrow it it's there.

+1 Agreed
It also sounds like most of the younger guys with F's understand the value of having such a great car at a young age.
Please take this as a compliment....I also thought you were much older...lol.
Apparently, I'm on the older end of IS F owners. I'm having enough issues with being closer to 40 than 30 now, without this. j/k

Another youngin here. I'm 23 and have experienced many of the different scenarios people have been discussing so far. Don't have any major expenses as of yet (no school loans, wife, kids etc...) Just a pretty normal kid workin hard and playin hard. I am also surprised to hear some of the ages of other members as I thought some were much older as well. It's nice to see there is more youth in this market than I had orignally thought.

I don't have a IS-F ...But very interesting on all the posts in here. Im 27. I was once considered to get the F about 2 weeks ago which trade in my wife IS250 paid off. Now got 6k miles on it. 2007...
Dealer wanted 24,500 OTD different for 2008ISF 4k miles asking for 49k... They offered the IS250 for 26,500.. I can get the F and pay with cash but Im in a way to save money to buy ourself a house and my wife she really wants a house so bad. I had been upset because I really want to get the IS F...I was tried to convience her to put in 5k cash and made payment for the rest but she wanted us to save all the money for the down on the house which is more important..I just suck it up. Anyway still depressing. I think you guys here are so lucky to own the IS F....Hope one day I can get one without having any problems.

Interest read. Here my 50 cents... I definitely think there is a difference in how this topic is discussed on CL as opposed to "the benzez and the bimmerz" forums which in part is a reflection on the owners

43. Paid cash. It don't make sense to buy a car and pay interest on loan payments that's not a necessity of life. Last car was a Corvette that I loved. Paid nothing down and 0% for 5 years on that one. Had the cash, but gee, I'll take 0% if they'll give it.

46 here and decided to do this in Dec. w/ 0.9%....all the normal expenses...just scraped and saved and saved. Thank goodness I didn't lever up to buy stocks at Dow 11,000 thinking it just HAD to go back up. But I am watching closely...timing this thing right could retire some of us early. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy the one big excess I allow myself....my car!
