No IS-F for me yet. Broke 20 y/o college student in a recession but I was just wondering, there are a lot of 18-35 year olds with their is f's paid off. What is it that you guys and girls do for a living? I'm majoring in accounting but the taxes in NY suck so even a 60k job means a 40k take home pay per year. If i'm smart I can probably save up but I would pay in cash only if i had enough left over for emergencies which means i should save up 100k at the minimum. Anyway, I digress. So what does everyone here do for a living?

Default How old are our F owners?

I was just watching the Top Gear and Fifth Gear episodes on the IS-F and surprisingly they think its designed for a younger crowd with its beefed up styling from a standard IS and I got the impression they believe its for a person who once owned an Evo, Sti, Supra (import tuner type) that has figured out how to put a few more pennys in the bank... That is pretty much my story and was curious if any other F owners felt the same. How old are you F owners? Im 24.

I'm 30. I went from a Cobra to the ISF due to having a child and needing room for the child seat in the back.

I'm 31, but I parked next to another F yesterday that ended up being owned by a guy who was pushing 50.
Obviously certain styles of cars draw different crowds, but speed is speed and it's an addiction to all involved and at any age.
Personally, I cannot stand "ricers" and their annoying loud exhaust, HOWEVER, I respect any car that can haul ***!

Darbs, out of curiousity, what do you do for a living? 24 is really young to own this expensive of car, IMO. I had just graduated from college at 24, so there was no way in hell I could get a car like this. Did you go straight to work after high school and save up well or do you come from a wealthy family? No disrespect, just curious.

I'm sure this was done before, but I can't find the old thread. I'm 72 years old. I've always owned a performance or modded car since my first 1950 Mercury.

Three years ago my grandmother left me just short of 40k when she passed for college money, which I split 50/50 between Google and Apple stock 2 years ago. I just graduated from business school and used the profit to pay for my education, down payment on a used F, which I got at a killer wholesale price with a Service consultant Intern position i had at a local dealership due to school requirements and am now starting Advertising Company that was my senior project in school... The stock market has been good to me and I have to thank my family for making it possible but no one told me to put my school money in tech stocks, I pulled the trigger and here I am. Also my Type R is paid for and for sale, so once that goes I will have a lot of equity in the F. No offense taken my girlfriends family thought I was a drug dealer for months before someone nutted up and asked haha.
