We're DINKS. Mortgage, three cars (one car payment), and a quota that never ends. Pay for it all myself. Oh yeah, 48 years old. Wife's money is hers.
Nice to see all the kids here, it gives me hope for finding a 2UR-GSE in the junkyard soon. More young owners improves the odds.

Wow kids driving $60k cars is nice but no way you are paying for it yourself....be honest please....
Unless you are willing to have a $1k monthy payment or work your butt off just to support the car which is not too smart.
Let's see now, 21/22 puts you just out of college so either you are a full scholarship ride smart kid with no college debts or you are living at home and don't have a mortgage yet. Don't get me wrong it's great to have a nice car at 21! When I just got out of college I had a s4 and worked every summer and part time to save up for it.
And just curious but how many of you OWN the car with no lien or bank loan? Making payments for 84 months is not really ownership "yet"

I bought mine as a birthday present to myself on my 40th birthday. Like Tooth doc, I have student loans and a SAH wife to help dispose of my income. When I was 21, I drove a 1972 VW (bought for $1200).

Don't underestimate the youth of our country or assume that we're just the new Paris Hiltons of the world. One of my co-workers is barely older than I am and has an F430, fully paid. Of course, these days in the Las Vegas economy, his car really is worth more than his house!
Although I know many students who graduated in debt, it's hard for me to imagine it. I am a huge opponent of the loan-heavy, debt-heavy lifestyle that has become the American way. I worked PT in high school, earned a scholarship and worked FT most of college so I did not have to take out loans. I could have afforded the F after getting my first job but obviously would not have chosen to due to lack of stability/certainty. I borrowed my uncle's car for a few months and after getting my first couple checks was glad that my first car was a used Lexus, as that experience sold me on the brand for life. (Of course, excepting a short detour for the C43, which turned me off from the Benz brand for life!!)
I'm in my mid-20s now and, needless to say given my past posts demonstrating my loan-averse philosophy, my F is fully paid. And I couldn't be happier with it. It is the best car I have ever driven.
