I made a search already and came up with nothing. I was at lexus today fro the 30 day service or checkup and i remembered that you can program the key card from the ls model to the isx50. So i went over to parts to see if they had one in stock and sure enought they did. I guess lexus relized this and now have a special part number just for the isx50 model for the key card. no biggy, the key cost around 300 dollars, plus around 100 to program. Well i went over to service before spending the money to see if they key can acutally be programmed ot the car and no one knew. They knew it could be done to the isx50 but never tried it on the isf. No biggie iw as thinking, i would take the plung. Well the service tech advise me that i had to purchase the key ahead of time, and pay the money to have the key programed, even if they didnt guareentee that it worked. So my question now becomes, can you program the smart key card from the ls model to the lexus isf and like you are able to do with the isx50?

Yes you can program the LS key card for the IS F. The only thing is, once that key card gets programmed once, it cannot be reprogrammed again.

i did search. there are many successful cases for the isx50 models, but nothing mentioned about the is-f. there is even a part number for the lexus is350 in the lexus catalog, but nothing for the is-f. i wanted to make sure, because there is not since in wasting a few hundred bucks if it doesnt work.

It will work. The smart key entry system in the IS F is no different from the regular 2IS.

Yes Officer Lou, I did search, but it's always the same simple photo, I'm looking for some other pictures, even some real life ones, so I can really see how it looks. Do you have any ....Lou?

Mind you the key blade is an extra item which needs to be cut specifically for your IS F. See empty slot below at bottom.

How thick is the smartcard? Looks to be about the same thickness as 5 credit cards, or about 5mm?
