Ok thanks!

Like Juanca, Andy sent me a K&N filter after modifying the ECM. I replaced the filter as soon as I replaced the ECM in the car and then drove about 300 miles before dynoing the car. Test results were not too good. Initial dyno prior to ECM tune was about 341 rwhp. After tune was about 347 rwhp. After reading about the possibility of oil on the MAF sensor I took out the K&N and cleaned the MAF sensor with CRC MAF cleaner (smells like chlorathane). After another 200+ miles redyno'd yesterday and got 359.30 rwhp. Same dyno - all SAE corrected.

The inside of the plentum and the MAF housing did not feel like it had oil on it, but It appears that the ISF MAF sensor is supersensitive to any contaminant.

BTW hope to install my new Joe Z exhaust sytem this weekend. It may be at least a week before I redyno because I will be out of town Sun-Wed.

Hopefully, we will be pushing 380 rwhp at that time.

That's great news, you picked up 18 WHP with the tune alone. Congrats, I'm curious to see the ECU tune + JoeZ exhaust combination.

Those results seem irrefutable and sound the death knell for my K&N.

Good info here guys, tnx and tnx to you Joe for broaching the subject in the first place.

Wow, I think the message is clear here:
Lexus knew which air filter to use that would keep the 5-liter very 'happy'.
I'm going to be very hesitant to change out the stock filter now.
