Brakes, making noise

Brakes, making noise
I am wondering how many of you guys have this?
well lets say this is my first car with 6 piston calipers and alotted rotors. Every car i had were standard brakes. Well heres the thing i notice that in my f when i wash the car, the brakes get the normal rust appearance and well when i start to use the brakes they dont make a peep no noise at all, but when the little film of rust rubs off then my brakes start to make a noise. No its not a whinning noise its the noise your car makes usually when you first wash your car and use the brakes, sorta like a crunkk. But it never goes away. when i come to a stop it always makes that noise or when im ready to take off and i let off the brakes. It hillarious cause this happened when i washed my older cars for like the first 2 mins, then it would go away. the f on the other hand makes it when im using them and wont stop making the noise.

What you should try to do is doing a few cruising speed passes and hitting the brakes firmly to a stop. Do it about 3 times and see what happens. Just curious, are you using any wheel cleaners when you wash your car?

I know racing brakes commonly make noises and I know that our brakes/rotors are not your ordinary run of the mill sports car brakes.
My brakes make a little noise too.

That's the nature of high friction brake pads. Like other said, brake it hard couple times and re-bed it if you can. Don't forget to allow the brake to cool off during hard brakes before coming to a complete stop.

I still find it troubling some of you guys are getting brake groan/squeal. I have 5,600 miles on my 2 month old 09 IS F now and I have yet to get the brake squeal. The only time i've experienced this brake squeal was on a Mercury Metallic IS F that I was driving around for about a week from Lexus HQ. It had the squeal when I first got it, but after doing the process I mentioned above, the squeal/groan went away.

that's funny, I thought I was the only one with brake noise, my '08 just had a 10000miles service, but the dealer can not find anything wrong nor duplicate the situation. well...
mine "whistle" when you are lightly pressed on the brake paddle.

Do the "burn off" techniques mentioned above and in the linked thread and your squealing should go away
