^^ Just by looking at your mph, I'm going to guess the wrong gear was used...

Also, Mustang Dynos will read lower than Dynojet Systems..

So I went back to them to get another dyno, but they said the first time they used 4th gear and that their machine can only read to 150mph, so it would not be worth it to re-do the dyno for maybe only 10-20 extra horsepower from using 6th gear and a speed that cannot be handled anyways... does that sound reasonable/logical?

So what does "idle start" mean? Running the engine to redline with cold oil? I seriously hope not.

Even with a perfect 0.500 launch, the ET would have been EXACTLY the same on that given run. R/T does NOT affect your ET.

So tonight was my first time ever drag racing at a track. I was in my 08 IS-F with a Joe Z intake, Joe Z exhaust, and an AFE filter. I also had the open flap mod and charcoal filter delete. I had a 1/4 tank of gas (az 91 octane) and I was on 255/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires in the rear. The spare tire/jack/tools were removed for the runs. Everything else was left as is. I was in manual with sport mode, traction and VSC off via long button press not the pedal dance.

Track was speedworld motorplex in AZ, Elevation 1470 Weather conditions at the time was Temp 65.7F with 50% Humidity and pressure 29.87 in. DA was 2447 ft

My best time of the night was 12.8873@112.56 with a 2.12 60ft time. Here are the time slips from my 3 best runs, yes I know my RT was off on my best run but I was by myself . Any comments/suggestions?

I think you did pretty darn good and your car is running strong. I see you had one 1.97 60' time and had you got that on your 12.8 run, you could have hit a 12.7 which is really good for your DA. The trap speed is also very good and similar to people running around 1500 DA.

Thanks. I couldn't get traction in 1st for the life of me though, I need to get some wider stickier rubber. Overall I was happy with the night, I beat an SRT-8 charger, a new camaro SS, a police mustang and my coworkers C6 vette (non z06) on runs later that night.

LOL NO!

We let the car sit on the Dyno for 10 Min at Idle to make sure we had constant Engine Temp.

Ok...first time to the track in my IS-F. 2009 with 8k miles. I only got to make one pass but I will be going back for sure. My reaction time was terrible!
Reaction: .786
1/8: 9.32
1/4: 14.147
MPH: 106.67

I know that is off but it is hard to make power at 5,000 ft.

Is that just the exhaust? Or is there like an intake and stuff?

Bunker,
What was your 60' time? I was thinking the F would be a high 13 car here but I don't go out to the strip anymore so it was just guessing on my part. When is the next time your going up, I might go and watch.

Also, did you make sure to turn that electronic nannies off and put it in sport mode?
