Just came back from the track, and have my results. The car is a 2008 ISF. Only mods are 2010 differential with LSD and ET Streets. My 60's were dissapointing even with the street slicks. Two runs worth noting:

R/T ... .414
60' ... 2.094
330 .... 5.614
1/8 ... 8.481
MPH ... 85.30
1000 ... 10.911
1/4" ... 12.935
MPH ... 114.18

R/T ... .745
60' ... 2.020
330 ... 5.503
1/8 .... 8.352
MPH ... 85.91
1000 ... 10.773
1/4 ... 12.793
MPH ... 113.59

this was my best run from a weeks ago. Im pretty happy with it seeing as it was 83 degrees out. Does my torque curve look really flat to you all??

I went 12.78@111.85mph today in my bone stock 08 ISF(no mods at all mechanically or cosmetically). 60' was a 2.067 and the temperature was 74deg.

Those are some good traps at the 1/4. At least relative to the track I run at. Typically when I trap 113-114 mph, my 1/8th is already at 90 mph. Maybe you have an uphill 1/8 and downhill 1/8 LOL

BTW, I went to the track today to see if the Borla catback and 20 lb lighter rotors were going to help or not. I did have 1/3 tank (in my PB runs, I was 0 miles to empty). I was only allowed two runs and I didn't get a chance to REALLY run it hard because they kicked me off the track today.

My two runs:

1.890 1.874
8.044 7.994
90.3 mph 90.63 mph
12.387 12.321
113.12 113.55

They kicked me out because they said I was spraying tranny fluid all over the track but they got the wrong car. Right after me was a black Cavalier that his tranny dipstick fell off during the run. The track guy even gave me the dipstick - I told him I don't have a dipstick for my tranny. Then he checked under my car and saw my exhaust smoking and said that I must be dripping oil on my exhaust hence the smoking. I told him I JUST got the exhaust installed 2 days ago and that it's the oil and the anti-seize compound burning off. Either way, they wouldn't let me run.

I got to a lift with a Lexus master tech and we found no leaks.

Oh well, I got what I needed from the two runs though. 2 years ago in November when I ran 12.3@115 I had a tailwind of about 5-10 mph and today I had a 5 mph headwind. It was also 30.4 inches Hg and today was only 30.1 Also, that day I ran like 20 runs. Today I only had 2 runs and the two lousy runs with 1/3 tank was pretty much equivalent to my record runs with the better DA. So, from that, I surmise that the Borla exhaust and lighter brake rotors are probably a tenth or two faster than stock.

I was hoping to hit 12.1x today and I think I would have but not with the headwind, 1/3 tank, and being kicked out. LOL

In the next couple of weeks, I'm getting headers installed (just waiting for 1 gasket) and reducing weight further with some coilovers. After I break into the 11s - possibly challenge caymandive's all motor record, I'm done drag racing until I get some lightweight black alcantara carbon fiber front seats LOL.

Oh, BTW, in case you guys want to know my mods: Borla catback, Figs 2 piece rotors, 18" RE30 rims with MT 245 40 18 drag radials, took out the spare and tools and engine cover, and lightweight battery. I don't have an intake or JOE Z pipe. I already tried the K&N intake system and took it out because it didn't give me any performance gains.

45-48 degrees, 30.1 Inches Hg, unfortunately I didn't get an accurate dew point but I think it was like 32. It was definitely a good DA day.

ToothDoc: Yeah, you could definitely get in the low 12.2s with that setup and the right track conditions. Maybe even 12.1s, which is pretty amazing with basically just an exhaust, lighter wheels and drag radials.

So, was your previous 12.3@115 bone stock with DRs (since you said you just got an exhaust)? That is quiiiick.

previous was with drag radials on 18s but stock fronts. Spare and engine cover out. Lightweight battery and very low fuel load. Most important was that it was a COLD dry day. Just the DAY alone with that exact mods can be huge. IE, when I was doing the K&N intake comparison I ran as I did 2 years ago but only managed a 12.7@112 simply because of atmospheric conditions. 60' was 2.0xx where on a cold dry day, I routinely hit 1.8xx. FWIW, I think the IS-F are very well evenly matched from one IS-F to the next IS-F. No real factory freaks out there that I know of. The guys that get better number just do so because of better practice, lighter weight, and good conditions.

Awesome dyno. The reason I don't put my dyno up is that mine only read like 270 HP. Obviously the dyno I was at was not calibrated correctly. LOL BTW, no headers?

Ya i dont think 270 whp is correct. Especially with the times you have thrown down. I have the JOEz PPE combo going on. Its amazing. VBB can attest to its greatness

Because I don't have problems hooking up and it's slightly smaller diameter than stock and it's lighter than 285s so I'm actually running faster. I honestly think most IS-F (except 500+ hp on NOS) should be using the 245s. WIth the street radials, we don't get that wrinkled sidewall effect like real drag radials so using the lightest, smallest, tires will give us the best results. Even at stock PSI (37 psi) I manage 1.8xx 60' with no spin at all. I'm actually thinking that going down to 20 psi might give me a "smaller" tire and shoot me out of the hole a little quicker. I'll try that next time.

just wait till you get headers. I spin all day with 285s Bridgestone S0-4 pole positions. I think you may have to upsize once you throw on headers.

I think he will be fine with the 245's. I ran the same tires and sizes when I did my 11 second run. Heated up and descent track prep they stick great! The only problem I had with those tires in that size was that they were just a tad shorter than stock and it caused me to run through the traps banging off the limiter at the top of 4th where I had to make a quick decision to either shift and lose time or just hold it and lose time.

Btw Zapa do you have an "SAE" corrected version of your graph above?

^the graph shows "STD" which is uncorrected. Should show "SAE" which would indicate correction applied. Btw where did you dyno?
