Gymkata: Excellent runs! The only thing I could find is that you got to the light quickly. After the first light, really really slowly creep until the second light is on - SHORTER staging vs. deep staging. I know it might not seem like a big deal, but a couple of inches is literally going to make like .05 second difference! How else do you think I get the 1.82 and 1.83 launches? I really like the 275 30 aspect idea on the 19's!!!

Caymandive: Good luck on breaking your previous record! You better break it because next year I'm going LSD and bucket seats. I might even try a different tire setup - the tread on my MT were starting to literally separate from the tire. I'm not sure i want to go to 25" diameter (too fugly) but I might have to and do a 5th gear shift.

Well today I hit the drag strip one last time for the year in hopes of beating my previous 11.91@120 run, but was unsuccessful. My best today was 11.953@117.56. Headwinds were the primary reason because the DA was around -900ft and a couple weeks ago I was running 117mph to 118mph with a worse -787 DA and no tailwind.

Though I didn't break my previous best, I did however beat Toothdocs all-motor 1.827 60' time with a 1.826 60'. Also had a personal best 1/8th ET of 7.771 which is quicker than what I was able to do in my 11.91 run a few years ago yet my speed was down about 2 mph in the 1/8th. I can't think of any other reason beside the headwind for that.

So racing season is now officially over in my area, but have plans for more power and less weight next year. 2013 should be exciting!

Indeed, one of the best driven ISF on a drag strip in the country I would like to come down and run your strip. I have never gotten a 12 flat in canada (my common strip) NA. Im sure corner balancing and the suspension helped the consistency of your launch.

Thanks for the advice!!! I never thought about creeping up the the 2nd light and possibly being a few inches farther back. I assume that the drag strip has a 1 foot rollout right? I guess if you are back a few inches it gives you a few more inches to accelerate before the timer on your run officially starts. Is that the logic behind what you were saying?

Gymkata - The 1 foot rollout is the distance from the first light to the second light. So, if you go beyond a couple of inches, instead of a 1 foot rollout, you're only getting a 1/2 foot rollout. A true 1 foot rollout saves about .2 seconds to 60 mph!

Congratulations Caymandive! Excellent runs on your videos. Nice shallow staging, bumps off the rev limits... I can't comment on any single thing to make you faster or quicker. Maybe stay in a split second longer in 3rd gear?

Maybe it was the headwind or maybe it could be track calibration. I used to think a headwind made a huge difference but I once went with a strong headwind vs. a tailwind with the same DA and relative conditions and the mph difference was surprisingly negligible.

It's also verification that the Borla isn't making less power than the Joe Z and IMO, it's also verification that Sikky's headers vs. PPE headers could be put to rest too. Comparing your numbers with mine (we have very similar short staging, bumps off rev limits, etc.) makes me think that your advantage in DA was offset partially by my lower weights.

So, a new gentlemen's bet next year? Gymkata, you in? You're similarly equipped and now you know all the secrets and have the same mods.

For next year, I got a camera mount so I could take some true 1080 videos. My old GoPro sucks. I really liked the presentation Caymandive!

hahaha...we'll see ToothDoc. My work schedule is pretty tough and I am not home much. If I think I will be able to make it to the track much next year then we could probably figure something out. I am very inexperienced compared to you two though. I also need to get drag radials before then.

Caymandive what are the specs for your drag radials?

Nvm, just read the previous pages, Mickey Thompson ET Street's 245/40/18

I priced it out, they are expensive, ~$750 for a set of rear wheels (tires+rims)
