As expected my times were garbage since I ran on Continental DWS all season tires: 13.0 with 111mph trap speed. I also had 1/2 tank of gas and jack/spare inisde the car. It was my first time ever at the strip, it was a blast! I ran with a random 2013 335xi, wasn't sure if it was modded, he ran a 13.6. He had me on the launch but top-end I pulled away. I had crazy wheelspin on my launch probably due to my all seasons, which don't grip as well as summer performance.

^^^ Flipping your Front Wheels to the right direction, would have given you a 12.99
(less drag)

Nice run...!!!

Haha... actually I think the previous owner damaged the rim and got a replacement, and it ended up being the same as the other rim.....so I have two of the same front rims.....No point spending $1500+ on a new OEM rim

You were probably trapping 114/115 mph. This year, it appears that they got the trap speed correct. When I went two weeks ago, the trap speed matches my VBOX now.

Drag raced in Bremerton WA today. Haven't drag raced in 10 years or so. With I/H/E I ran a 12.6 at 114. Only got to run twice in 7 hours which I was bummed about.

At least its a start though! Traction was a big issue off the line. Lots of wheelspin.
The observation was taken 20 minutes ago
The winds favor: Runway 19
Crosswind: Right 5 knots
Headwind: 26 knots
Temperature: 54°F
Relative humidity: 72%

Out of curiosity did you heat your tires by the water box? I have only had my isf for a week or so and I plan on going to the track soon as I usually go a few times a year. Many people say traction is an issue but im wondering if these people are doing burnouts to heat the tires first

I have 285 DW's in the rear. I went through the box and did a quick 1st gear/2nd gear burn out (maybe 1.5 to 2 seconds worth? ) Mostly just to clean the tires off. The air temp was around 52 degrees, so the pavement was cold as well.

Its hard to say much about my experience, mostly because I only got in 2 runs. I will go again soon when I return from vacation. I'm also drag radial shopping.

Best part of the day for me was going sideways, when you start to rotate counterclock wise in 1st, it is not wise to grab 2nd! lol. I keep forgetting this isn't a video game.

Wheelspin seems to be the main reason for crappy times, that I've noticed. My trap speed was 111 but unfortunately ran a 13.0 because of wheel spin. I went around the waterbox, next time I will heat up the tires.

I would say a lot depends on the track, some are better then others, Maryland international raceway is always well
Prepped , walk across the starting line and if you don't have youre shoes on tight, they will come off, track is always hooking, if I go to capital I do a small burnout, tracks not bad, just not as good as Mir

Default Went to the track, here is my best time

Hey Guys, finally made it out to the track, got to run 3 times, ran 13 flat and two 12 sec passes. Best one of the night was 12.6, if you look at my crappy 60 foot u'll probably figure out I had bold stock 255s on the back, im planning to throw some decent rubber in the next month and drop my 60 foot to 1.7-8s and run a better time.

Opinions? Comments? Always welcome!

not a 100% sure but I don't think anyone with bolt-on's has hit a 1.7xx 60' yet. maybe the nitrous guys have but it's very hard to do even with a drag radial.
