On street tires? Maybe your track is better prepped than mine, but any harder of a launch than what I did on the above resulted in wheelspin and a slower 60'.

True... True... With the Micky Thompsons or the Toyo R888s, I get NO wheelspin. Even on the street so 60' times are ALWAYS in the 1.8 range. Next time you swap tires, consider Toyo R888s which can be used everyday except in the winters or really rainy days. The MT sidewalls are too soft for performance driving except for straight line.

I rocked M&H Racemasters my last time at the track and they hook like no other.

Autoclub Speedway drag racing events have reopened in Fontana, CA and I went to see how the ISF does.

2011 ISF 100% stock. Zero mods.
Sport mode + M, traction control ON.
Michelin PSS, 29 psi in rears.
Gas tank was 3/4 full (as in 1/4 empty).
Full spare, tools, etc, nothing removed.
Traction was not an issue in first gear.

1st run was 13.268 @ 107.75mph
2nd run was 13.423 @ 106.87mph
3rd run was 13.441 @ 107.63mph

I was shifting at the beep throughout all gears, yet this is the best I could manage. Either I am losing power somewhere or the ISF is really no faster than the IS350 in the quarter...

Depends on density altitude too. Why did you leave the traction control on? Do you think it hurt your time? Run that thing all the way to redline!

Traction control never came on while in Sport mode, traction was not an issue. I ran to redline in all the gears.

Traction was an issue in first gear - you just don't realize it. Turn it off and you'll notice that first gear spins like mad unless you do a proper burnout. Also, you are shifting too early all the time.

Thanks for the input on the traction control off, I will try it next time. As for shifting too early...I was shifting when I hear the beep.

You need to slightly kiss the rev limiter in each gear. You also need to calculate the DA to know how much of an effect the weather had on your runs.

Turn all the nannies off, hit the rev limiter in all gears, and be happy to be running 12s.

12.8 with crappy Nexen tires. I know!!! But they came with the car. Even with the burnout...1st gear was spinning like crazy. I was ok with the 113 trap. 60' ft time was decent at 2.08 but I banged the limited in 2nd and 3rd. I know I was slow when I didn't get to redline at the finish. DA was ~1000ft

I plan to hit up MMP in Alabama in the next couple of weeks. SDR was packed and I only got two runs.

Props to fstpassat for all the advice!!!!

Video coming soon...

Even if you have drag radials, it does not make sense to do a burn out. Go around the water box and then just do a quick spin of the rears to rub off any gravel or debris your tires maybe have accumulated in the staging lane. Go with only 1/4 tank of gas every gallon is about 6 lbs which seems insignificant but dropping 50 lbs is a good weight saving specially when it's easy to plan for and do. Turn off all aids. Meaning press and hold the trac button for 5 seconds until it says VSC off. Don't try to power launch foot hard down on the brake hold the revs to about 1000-1200 and then side step the brake and roll into the gas. You're just posting trap time and speed. Your 60' is one of the best gauges as to your launch.

I cut a 1.9 60 on crappy all season tires but they are 275's lol. My best pass was with traction on in sport mode paddle shifting 12.4@113. Only real mods intake and borla.

Keep trying...I've only been to the strip once in my life and my worst time was a 12.3 on street tires. Of course the DA was decent and I had I/H/E, so no worries. Just read all the drag threads and whoop some @$$ next time. The ISF is a beast...even if we can't tune her.
