2 tenths from slicks on average in my experience. He's right on the street tires na . You spray 100 shot without slicks and your gonna spin pass the 60 ft marker. If I ran my car in dec like all the high 11 and 12 na cars I would see low 11s I just seem to go to the track with its warm and nice out.

The weather is starting to be nice around here. I'll try the process out at the track with street tires when I get a chance to go to the strip. Probably won't hit the kind of times you guys are achieving (heavy stereo) but should still be fun. Nice times guys.

4 Isfs made it out to Toronto motor sports park this sun
We all had our personal bests
Here is my new 12.55@114 ran against Compthis
Very close run managed to edge him out by .005
Compthis managed to get 12.37@115 earlier on matching his previous best
Then another run vs Ap2s2k
All 3 had Borla Cat-back and drag radials
Compthis with ppe headers

Those time slips don't look good for a car with headers. With headers should be trapping better than just a cat back by a pretty significant margin.

That's the closest 1/4 I've ever seen! Question for track gurus. I recently went to the track with 3 other ISF's (all 3 had brand new summer tires all around, Conti DW, michelin pss, vredestein), it was about 55-60 deg with about 20 mph crosswind. I had my DR's on, we're talking brand new with only 2 passes. I did drive on them to the track (~60 mi), since there was nowhere to mount them and store the stockies. Not sure if this was a factor, but all of us had trouble hooking. I did a burnout every time and spun all of 1st gear and part of 2nd. Best time of the night was 13.3, which is pathetic compared to last year's time of 12.3. What's the explanation? Is it track prep to blame? That night there were funny cars and all kinds of redneck cars (straight line cars, dont know what else to call them), top fuel cars..... not sure if this was a factor or not. Very disappointed in my times as were the other ISF owners.

You need to play around with tire pressures I'll dial mine low 15-20 psi do a nice decent burnout
Never really had issues in the cold spinning tires off the line and mine were almost brand new there was the odd time but nothing major.

that sounds like the track and the temp if the tires were setup good Can always jump outta your car and watch the other cars go down and see if everyone is spinning.
Worse, wait till you go to the track when they are doing a 1/8th mile event and test and tune, and your car goes funny after the 1/8th do to no prep, lol

Road Dyno my IS-F
Here is a Road Dyno of my IS-F in 3rd gear 93oct.
This road dyno is used widely in the Subaru, BMW and Evolution communities for road tuning by professional tuner and enthusiast. It has been proven to read within 5% of a real dynojet. I mainly used to see the change in hp as I mod the car. Track times always tell the true story.......
My car has the secondary cats deleted, no mufflers and light weight wheels.
Does any one have 3rd gear pulls of the their IS-F on a real dynojet? what is the difference in HP between 3rd and 6th gear?
Thanks

That's a pretty conservative tune. The AFR could be quite a bit leaner, but Toyota is super cautious, so it's really rich.

Yesterday I went to the 1/8th of a mile and my car run consistent but I was a little disappointed with my time and trap speed. We run at Greer Dragway and I raced my friends 2007 A6 C6 convertible (Erik) with an intake but not a tune and he beat me by a couple of a tenth of a second.
My car has the secondary cat deleted and mufflers deleted. It has light weight 18" wheels with Goodyear eagle all season high performance tires 255/40/18 all around, nothing in the trunk and a little less than a half of tank.
I used to have a 600whp WRX. With only 400whp I was able to cut 1.67 60' and run 7.3@96 on street tires 215/40/17s General exclaim UHP
Any suggestions on how to improve my time and trap speed? If forgot to turn the traction control off on five runs but on the last run I did and I got my best 60' of 2.1 sec.

I went to the track today and had some horrible times. something is definitely wrong.
traction control off (long push)
sport mode on
manual mode
tires at 17psi
launching at around 2k rpm. Camaros and crustangs were flying past me off the line. I thought our cars had more torque than that? I expected at the most a 2.0 60'. with a ET of 8.3 or 8.4. instead I couldn't even break into the 9s.
the car seemed to bog terribly off the line. I couldn't get better than a 2.6 60'!
I find it odd that my 60' times were pretty similar whether I had the traction control off or not. I tried it both ways.
anyway, what is this pedal dance thing I've been hearing about? it seems as if my car still had the traction control on when I launched. I did do a burnout in the water box so I assume my traction control was off, but when I went to launch I couldn't get the car to come into the power band at all as if the TC was still on. my only mod is K&N filter. Please chime in if you guys can help me launch this thing better.
