here are acouple vids just to show that these arent one offs. Be careful when challenging one of these. The 18 5.0 has 460 hp now and a super fast shifting 10 speed auto.

Both those cars have drag radials on them and the first car has full exhaust (stock headers though). 12.2 to 12.5 is the average times for the '18 GT from what I'm seeing (still fast in stock form as that'll likely beat a FBO F).

The first car had nt05rs only. No exhaust mods.

The second was 100% factory stock down to the tires. Evan Smith has always had a reputation for being a fast driver.

First car stated in the video he had aftermarket X pipe.

Went to PBIR on Friday night, temperature at 64* with a DA of approx. 300ft. Track was in great condition and traction was not a problem, launched off idle. Best run of 12.46 was with t/c on, sport mode and manual shifting at 7k. I tried a run with t/c off but had wheel hop when shifting into 2nd and only managed a 12.76

Mods: xforce catback w/varex mufflers and rr racing tune w/7200 limiter
Tires: pirelli p1 rear 275/30r19 (32 psi) front 245/35r19 (36psi)

very nice times for the light mods. Get some 315 Toyo Proxes R888s and you might be able to break into the 11s with no other mods.

not true lol ive had soft drag radials and best 60ft times are high 1.8's, btw you had wheel hop because your rear tires were over inflated. Try dropping air pressure down and try again till you feel it hook I would start at 22 psi and possibly go a bit lower those sidewalls are stiffer then a drag radial and wont provide the bite you want. I ran drag radials at 16psi

Well at those 60 foots of course not. That's terrible for drag radials. R888s are very sticky. I had a 700 hp mustang and from an idle launch I had no spin at all. I was cutting 1.6x 60 foots with them. A tenth off your 60 foot is good for roughly 2 tenths ET, depending on conditions (da). Hes running 12.40s at a 1.9 60 foot. If he can hit a 1.6 60 foot then an 11.9 or 12.0 is not unrealistic. Granted, it wont be easy, but it is certainly doable. Especially if he has sea level density altitude.

The 60 ft's on these cars on radials are due to the limitations of the stock converter and not that the tire isn't capable of doing better.

Thanks, I was shooting for a 12.5, so I was very pleased with the 12.46. I think it will take headers and some weight reduction to get to 11s though, as traction was not an issue for me.

I will most likely be replacing the rear differential bushings with figs poly bushings to address the wheel hop, I think that will be a more permanent fix, as I've had issues on the street during hard acceleration as well.

I did them about a month ago and it completely eliminated any wheel hop on the street (which I had like you). I have not gone to the track yet but I'm pretty damn confident that I will not have any there either.

That was my experience exactly. I put a Giken spool in at the same time. Wow. What a MUCH better launch.

What up! Posting a baseline dyno, stock 1/4 mile and 1/4 mile with mods. With the VR Tune, they raised my rev limiter and I really didn’t notice until the end of the day. When I caught on to it, I was getting better times not shifting at the sound. I did not take it to the limit with every gear, I’m not perfect Wheel hop is pretty bad and not hooking like I want. I’m on stock rims and tires. Did not deflate the tires on any runs. Track is meh, but it’s local. All runs are Sport mode on, paddle shifting, T/C held off. Fastest 60ft I got was 1.9959 and that was when I was stock.

Baseline dyno, do not know what gear he pulled it in. Now I know to make sure to pull in 6.

Stock 1/4 mile. Stock tires (no deflation) and rims.

XForce Exhaust, VR Tuned, HPS elbow. Stock tires (no deflation) and rims. Spinning almost through first.

Wonder how much power the VR tune adds?
