i go 26.5 mpg yesterday after 80 miles of mostly expressway driving with very little stop and go. i had my wife, son and dog all in the car. so i had to drive like a grandma, but still not bad for a V8 car fully loaded with passengers.

I guess it's whatever you get used to or whatever you have to work with.
Enjoy the 'F' as much as you can.....

LOL, I am going nuts. I only get to drive it maybe once a week.

Any backroad twisties to have some fun on over there?
If you could do some spirited driving somewhere safe, or even on a track once a week it wouldn't be too bad.......

I'm spoiled by my wideopen spaces and unlimited places to 'hide'....

would the top end be good still? or would it be slower?

Technically it would be slower, but from what I understand the F is capable of pulling past the limited top speed of 168 mph. As long as the gearing change isn't so significant that you run out of gear on top end (i.e. hit redline in the highest gear that will still accelerate the car at speed) you should still be able to reach the 168 limit.
