Default Was the IS-F given a fair shake on Top Gear?

I keep watching the segment that was on the other night that ran the IS-F against the BMW M3. I disagree with the results. I feel that the IS-F should have killed the M3. What are your thoughts?

I think they should switch off drivers and cars just to make it fair. The pro driver sat in the M3 the whole time and Jeremy just poked fun at the F...even though you can tell he hated to admit the positives.

Regarding where Clarkson races the pro-driver in the M. With the M being a manual, was Jeremy using the 'Sport' mode with the paddle shifters while running against him? Or just in drive? Those who have experienced the F power, would this have changed the result?

I personally like the fifth gear review by Tiff. And the comparison with the girls, but of course tiff cheated in the M3 spinning a couple of donoughts to raise the girls heart beat.

I have no reason to disbelieve that the M3 is a better drivers car. Not by much, but yes.

I think that THe IS-F is faster on the straight way, but M3 is a little better on the Corners

Default Older M3

I had no problem beating the previous M3 model tonight! It was over by 3rd gear in Sport+Manual+Trac On.

Anyone had problems beating the current model of M3's? I actually get a lot of mustangs wanting to race

yeah. the host was very hesitant in saying the positives. he would try to negate the F too much. he is really biased too. he'd probably think the rx-8 was better than an F.

If the ISF had a CF roof (weight reduction) and LSD (power out of the corners), it would beat an M3 on a track.

Well F is kinda first of its kind, but to be able to scared the M3 who have many models throughout the years this much is already consider a success.. most of the time it also depended on the Driver as well....

That is what I thought. I bet he had it in regular drive.

Are you in regular drive or sport mode when you run bimmers at the track?
