Default IS-F Wheels (cleaning)

What wheels cleaners do you use when washing your wheels?

I have used "Hot Rims" from Mcguires but I was wondering if there is something better on the market.

Or if there are any products out there that wheel should stay away from.

Thanks

Stay away from anything abrasive or that has bleach. This stuff is the best though.

It depends on how long you go between cleanings. If you clean at least weekly, the previous suggestion of P21S is fine. It's a fairly gentle cleaner, but is useless for really filthy wheels (IMO). You can also just use your car wash soap and water if you keep your wheels sealed/waxed.

For cars with more aggressive brake pads or less frequent cleanings, Eagle One A2Z is amazing stuff. It will melt off the brake dust and grime, remove tire dressings, and is good for wheel wells as well. I've been using it for years with zero problems on any OEM wheels, including my IS350.

Clean them once a week with a clean, damp rag or wet paper towell and you'll never have to buy any products. A good coating of wax also helps the above process.

Honestly, I have had bad experiences with wheels cleaners. Sometimes they contain harsh chemicals that damage your wheels. I use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and a little bit of elbow grease! Bling! Bling!

I wash them when I wash the car with ZIP Wax Car Wash by Turtle Wax, I then wax them with Mothers California Gold. I wipe them down after every drive.
