Default Is jdm inner panel box

Hi, I was wondering if anybody installed the JDM accessories such as the Inner Panel Box. http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2168

I just purchased the item but I'm having problems understanding how to install it. If anybody has this item installed in their IS OR IS-F please share your story. Thank You.

Once you remove the two silver trim pieces on either side of the center console the rest can be unbolted/unscrewed. Slide a credit card between the trim pieces and the outer edge of the center console, twisting the card as you go along and the trim will pop up and back a bit,...it uses friction clips.

Remember you will loose the cig lighter power port and will have to use the one in the armrest.

For that particular panel, I believe you would have to remove the center trim panel to access that section.

Also you will lose the functionality of your dc outlet/cigarette lighter.

^ Correct

Remove Shift ****
Remove Two silver Trim pieces
Remove small trim piece under radio
Remove entire center console panel.
then..
Remove two screws that hold ashtray box in place.
Unplug connectors for cig lighter & light.
Then just slide it up and outward.

Your going to have to transfer your Silver CF trim to the new box.
Very easy, as it just unclips.

Reverse procedure.

you don't have to remove the small trim piece under radio. as long as you keep the ash tray door closed you won't scratch anything.

^I would even say removing that piece increases the risk scratching the ash tray door...

why don't you use the sun glass holder on the roof panel? I find replacing the cig lighter a huge deal with just a simple storage box. And the price of $216? that's ridiculous.

Well, if "done right" you wouldn't scratch anything, right? I knew that would get to you...
