Default Does anyone on CL have the Turbochargers, Inc. dual turbo installation

When I was at Peter's TX2K9 event on Saturday I talked with the reps of Turbochargers, Inc. (the ones who installed the twin remote turbos on the orange Artisan SEMA ISF). One stated that they had installed 15-20 of the systems on privately owned ISFs. It would seem that at least one of those would be on this forum. If so, please tell us what your experience has been with the system.

Good question Pat!

I would also like to know how it has been performing for them as well as how it does in the rain

Highly doubt it. Most ISF, or rather Lexus owners do not go that far with mods.

Call them (assume you got a card) and ask them for two or three references that you could speak with from their 15-20 IS-F client base.

I smell sales BS

I would not buy into what they are saying either, do what Dave suggests. But I would still be carefull b/c they could give you numbers of people who they know will back them up.

I am concerned about the lag with the lengh of the pipes and also as Mike mentioned , how it does in the rain?

I can't see there being too much lag. Big motor, high c/r 11.8 to 1, small turbos. I have seen a tt vett and there was no lag. It had the sts turbo kit on it too.

As I said, they had a black ISF at the Lone Star on Saturday. They did not run it because it was a customer's car. I also met an owner from Las Vegas whose USB ISF was being modified at this time. I guess I thought that anyone making these kind of modifications would be a member of CL, but it looks like I was wrong.

They have two versions. The first runs about 3 1/2 pounds of boost. The second runs about 5 1/2 pounds of boost and injects methanol. The methanol injection unit is located in the trunk of the car on the left side. It has a reservoir for the methanol and a pump to inject the methanol.

I'm really skeptical about that too. The system is awesome and all, but 15-20 IS F owners? Maybe realistically on their interest list?
