I want a stick.

Nothing is as fast as a human anticipating the next 3 moves.

Doesn't matter if the slush box can shift in a microsecond - once it decides what to do.

Nobody is saying that the 8 speed in the IS-F is not nice. However, if you can not accept that someone else has a different opinion than yourself, then you sir are infantile. There are alot of people who wish that Lexus had put a decent manual in the IS-F instead of the IS250.

Does the fact that people dissagree with you about whether the IS-F should have a manual option threaten your self esteem or sexuality? Why the hostility, open up, embrace diversity

you make sense. But thats not going to change someone who wants to own a manual.

last time I checked this is a lexus IS-F forum where Lexus owners congregate to talk shop and cars. We get it, you don't like the car. Trying to convince IS-F owners otherwise is an act of futility. Please go out and buy a BMW, you two will be so happy together!

is pointing out flaws or questioning certain features of a car really the same thing as out-and-out hatred? The IS-F is a very nice car, but it's not perfect. in fact, it's closer than most to being there. if you think the IS-F is the ne plus ultra of the automobile universe, then you're either deluded or stupid. more likely both.

Let's try and keep from making the remarks personal, everyone.

Well, reading this thread it was a pretty decent observation based on post content, etc. Good enough that I decided to check on a few things...

bj1888 66.176.156.118
maj75 66.176.156.118

Creating multiple accounts is a serious violation of our TOS. I am banning the 'second' bj1888 account and would like an explanatory PM from you under your maj75 account.

I would also like for you to exit this thread from this point forward.

Members, please let's stick to the original topic (and not my post above). Do not respond to maj/bj's posts as they will not continue posting in this thread.

"If you love it so much, then why don't you marry it". That's funny are you like 12 or something? I have not heard that phrase for about 40 years.

But anyway, I love this car the with the JoeZ exhaust the 8 speed auto, it sounds and feels great. I took a run last week up a twisty highway here in SC called Ortega Hwy. I had more fun shifting with the paddles than I ever had with my manual vettes, or stangs. It was a dream to run through those 45 miles with this car and trans. I did most of the run in sport mode and man. but I also found that if you leave it in sport mode and D the paddle shifts will hold the gear until you want to shift or the RPMs hit the shift point. Lexus really did their homework on this car and trans.
