Default IS-F exhaust tips (gripe)

So the past few days I've noticed some exhaust resonance/rattle type noise while sitting idle or at stop lights. Sure enough the cause was from all the damn small pebbles that some how collect in the exhaust tips. I'm not talking about a few I'm talking about spoon fulls coming out as I bang on them with the palm of my hand. When I left my parking spot you could see two small piles of pebbles where I had been parked.

Actually, look on the left side of your steering column. See that little switch? It opens up the exhaust tips to dump all the pebbles on the road to cause rock chips to your enemies (M3s/AMGs). Hit the switch and punch the gas!!

I never spin my tires unless I'm at the track so I'm not going to take the blame as the driver. The tires indeed pick up all the pebbles on their own and they are flung into the exhaust tips. I have the Michelin PS2s if that makes much of a difference.

Its normal guys...
I have Yokahama's and The top side of my mufflers collect plenty of pebbles, road dust and tar specs... Which get nicely cooked in at times...
Its can get worst when driven in wet weather and/or rocky roads..

That's interesting... I also have PS2s, and I don't spin my tires, and I have nothing in there. I guess the roads in your area have a lot of loose dirt/gravel.

Yup i'm sure it's just the area I live in. They cover the roads here pretty well in the winter with sands and other small pebbles. Just stinks that the exhaust collectors have dual functionality. (collect pebbles and direct exhaust flow.

I've only has this happen once and it was on a road trip during horrible weather. When I finally parked the car in my garage I had a mini mountain of pebbles under the tips

That has to be one of the biggest annoyances around this area in winter. They dropped so much sand and gravel - it was like they were trying to turn our roads into a beach volleyball court!
