Matte Black is bad *** but Idk how cool it would be on an ISF. Idk... maybe if you went turbo it would seen better but just my opinion.

Paint should be a few grand i think.

Whenever I see Matte Black I don't see it on a luxury car... I'm not a huge fan of it...

With that kind of money you should just invest in some more performance parts...

Reminds me of the Five Axis IS F.

IMO it looks good at first but I dont know if I would think it looks good after driving it that color after a period of time

The fact that no one in here likes it, makes me love it! Do it but only if you go with matte black HRE wheels with a polished lip......and paint your calipers GT3 yellow

If you didn't want it to be permanent, you could do a vinyl car wrap in flat black. Not sure on the pricing but I know they can get pretty expensive. I'm thinking of doing a black (or carbon fiber) vinyl layer on my roof

I like the Black Satin / Matte Paint finish on the Concept / Show cars.
But from what I hear, its not very practical for an everyday use car...

Scratches easy, finger prints easy, attracts dust faster and NOT water spot or rain friendly..

Plus side, its an easy perfect match if you ever have to repaint a panel.

Here are a few pics of the Five Axis Design IS-F and the VIP Auto Salon GS430...

I am not sure if I like the matte black like Joe Z said it will scratch very easily and gets dirty very easily as well......personally.....I would not do it. But I am pretty sure you can find a good paint shop to do it for about $2500-$3000.

It recently has been made possible to have a nice clean flat black paint..PPG recently introduced satin clears ...
the VIP Status AutoSalon is a Splattered clear..it has a rough texture on it that's porous. (not rough by any means)(feels like sanded down with 400 grit) house paint...(in laymans terms)..
To keep flat paint's clean just use QD spray (as a wax) then use windex every other wash or so to remove excess buildup of wax and contaminants.

Joe,

Not a fan of the color on the F but I love the wheels. Are they the same ones you have on your car?

Cheers,

G
