Yes, about 25mph.

So if it were laser, any detector without a laser jammer wouldn't have helped right?

V1's problem is that it hasn't been updated in a few years. it needs GPS to lock out the standard "crap" that sets it off all the time... one good thing tho is that you can configure the unit as you want (like on my V1, X band is completely OFF)...

in FL, K band on the interstate is almost always a traffic sign speed flasher or a local cop when in town...

Ka band is hit the brakes in all circumstances.

I have seen some FHP guys running laser on 95, always on a tripod - always on the top of an overpass in the emergency lane - and yes, the V1 did light up well in advance of the trap... but i put zippo faith in detecting laser... by ANY detector.

i would not even consider owning an F without a very high quality detector... just a bad plan IMHO

I think the Po here uses both radar and laser from as far as I heard. The one that got me was on a tripod, that's all I could say about it.

(now I feel like the guy on the left in my avatar...)
Sorry to hear that.
Are you going to court and plead it down. They shouldn't have any issues with lowering it to 20 over......or are you going to fight it under the circumstances? You might get a sympathetic judge.

Thanks but what am I gonna say? I can't afford the $368 ticket because I drive a brand new $60,000 Lexus?

What's funny is that my buddy warned me to get a detector when I got the car and I didn't listen...

V1 won't save you.........cops are using new system that goes undetected

it's ok, my first speeding ticket in the ISF was $361.00 cad doing 160km in a 110km zone. After this I definitely need a good radar detector as well.

Did you have to put your stock exhaust back on the car for the referee to pass your car?

If it's the same as ours in ONtario, it's an option on the ticket -- I believe option 3.... An appearance with a rep. of the prosecution to lower the ticket to something livable and not involve going to to actual court.
It will pay you to opt for that. That plea will lower the fine and points allotment.

This won't get you out of your predicament, but will lessen the blow.
