Default Installation of rear roof spoiler? (Completed, with pics now)

It goes on the glass with double-side tape? Or do i use some type of special glue?

Use the 3m double sided tape on the roof spoiler and you can use some silicon too.

i wouldn't use silicon or epoxy. 3m industrial grade double sided tape is all you need. make sure you clean the area with alcohol first, stick it on, and you are good to go

^What he said. Make SURE to wipe the area clean first using alcohol because if you don't it won't stick properly (I learned my lesson the hard way)

This is what I would do.

Clean surface good and remove any wax or chemicals (ie: RainX). Use 3M Heavy Duty double stick tape (gray color tape with red vinyl backing). You can find them at Home Depot or Lowes. Install spoiler with tape and let set overnight...tape ends down. I'd placed some big telephone books on the both ends of the spoiler..and in the middle as well....then place 25 lbs dumbbells on top the telephone books to avoid any possible gaps between the spoiler and rear glass (do this only if you are sure the dumbbells won't slide off your car).

Don't do it...........IMO it destroys the lines of the car and looks lame

Default thanks

great advice, except i don't have dumbbells at the house... i'll use my mother in law instead... she can also keep the car warm like a chicken egg to help dry out my newly tinted windows

really 8speed? i liked it on another ISF, that's why i got one also... then again i don't like lowered cars, to each his own i guess

If you want to do it, do it No one listens to me in here anyway, I just think it looks too ricey like the WRX rear spoiler. And how much downforce does it really apply under higher speeds? Whatever you do, show pics and keep us posted homie

Sorry you feel that way, but what I did was I used polyurethane glue or whatever it's called. Its basically the same thing they use for your windshield LOL

Not completely off. I was driving down the freeway and heard a rip so I pulled over to see what happened and didn't see anything until I looked on my back window and saw half the spoiler lose and the other half still attached. I did a facepalm

Which roof spoiler did you go with?

Ignore the naysayers. As others have said, clean window with alcohol and use the 3m tape. Here is mine. Do it, do it, do it, do it!!!!

ps What is the malu in front of Jerry?
