The Lexus and IS, are held on with just tape, correct? I would assume that only the L and the F badges are held on with fasteners.

"LEXUS" definitely has 2 holes behind it to line it up properly...along with tape.

For all those in socal who want to get their emblems plated in black pearl I have found a place in LA. They said it will cost around $35 bucks per emblem and can assure you but not gurantee that they will not peel. The guy I spoke to said it should peel after a few years but not right away. The process is slightly different if the emblems are plastic or metal. Has anyone researched this before? Would someone more knowledgable in this topic be willing to call and gather up further details? If you would like to call contact me for the info.

cm09578, great job on the emblems! can you specify on how many coats of primer, paint, and clear you put on them? also, what process did you use to take off the emblems? and if anyone could chime in on how to remove the front emblem (after you take off the grill)?

BTW, what kind of tape did you use to re-stick the emblems? The double sided tape that I bought was 3m, with red backing and gray.. But they were definitely thicker than the OEM tape, and from the side you can see a gap and the tape. It's not noticeable but if you look for it you can see it.. That's the only part I don't like about mine.
you can purchase a new set of "Lexus" and "IS 250" or "IS 350" from sewell for like $50 bucks and paint them and they will have the stock adhesive already on them so it will look just like stock.. of course you would just need to paint the "IS" part since you have an F..
