Default IS-F 1/4 mile with intake/exhaust???

Come on all you crack addicts that are addicted to the Z/PTS exhaust intake........the weather is nice again, time to get out to the strip and break caymans stock pass of 12.38 @ 115 mph

bump (preemptive)

More like break his 12.44 1/4 mile run cuz he was still on stock tires and his 12.385 was on DR's.

Actually, the 12.38 by caymans own admission was more a result of the DA conditions........not the DR's as they only helped his consistancy throughout the night and didn't help him get below the 1.9 60 ft mark

regardless.........it's the quickest pass to date!

Maybe you can shave off .2 to .3 seconds. I wonder how the 0-60 times would be? Would be be able to get under 4 seconds?

From the 20+ Hp he picked up from the exhaust and his skills at lanching I'd say sometime this fall we'll see Caymandive dip into the 12.19 range. I don't think the IS-F will do much better without some major weight reduction. BTW its too Hot and Humid to get any record breaking times out of the IS's now. Feb. would have been the right time.

Good call about the weight reduction...........isn't the formula every 100 lbs saved is a tenth of a second off your time

Yea, The frist 100lbs is easy but the rest are very heavy mods(lol). I don't think the IS-F will see 11.99's until someone either installs N2O or strips the entire car down to the frame and adds CF to reduce weight. I'd like to see some of these forced induction cars actully go to the track. Its easy to be a dyno queen but lets see what the real world times are. (Calling out LMS IS350's and all the TT IS-F's)

I think caymandive can hit 12.1s and 12.2s this winter with his new exhaust. I think if he can borrow my 18 lb rims, he'll hit 11.99s with GOOD DA. My 18" rims shave off 40 lbs off stock PS2s on the 19" stock rims!!! That's how I got 12.4s with DA not as good as Caymandive's. They're definitely good for .2 seconds off a stock IS-F. Like I said in an earlier post, we'll have to see 400 rwp to see 11.99 or a couple of hundred pounds of weight reduction.

Good call............breaking 12 seconds with bolt-ons is going to take some work

what about removing everything in your trunk including carpet.......door panels?

lighter wheels........empty trunk, rear seats, door panels, 1/4 tank of 95 octane..........exhaust, intake............12.15

Just watched the Vid(LOL)...I'd like to see the A/F ratio on that IS-F. I heard a little lean det. knock the frist time the boost came in on the highway. It has some issues with all those warnings flashing VSC, Check engine, Etc.. maybe its just an IS-F thing i'm not used to seeing.

I am still not quite conviced this car is living up to the hype. Great idea but maybe this car is not up for boost especially with its high CR. No 1/4 mile numbers, no 0-60 numbers, nothing but a dyno figure. And anyone with some car sense knows just a dyno number is not going to cut it and be respected.

Lets see some real numbers on the track other than the 14s it ran

or at least a few side by side pulls 2 3 4 gear to see the difference..........
cause at the strip i can imagine grip being big factor since a regular Isf has issues with traccion.......
