Even if the 285s don't rub, are you really going for that SUV look? If you want a wider tire, you should get a wider wheel. A 9.5 rear is only .5 inches wider than stock, so it wouldn't make sense to cram such a wide tire on there.
JoeZ's setup looks perfect to me.. and you're fortunate that someone on the board already has a proven setup on these wheels, so my suggestion would be to follow his, or get a 10/10.5 rear.

Yes... But, you confirmed this set up didn't clear the brakes & rubbed.
That combo may have been good for your IS350, but not good for the F..
For this Wheel Design with 35mm offset, the 285/30 tire will not work either.
You can actually see the paint burned off your fender from the tire rubbing, since the thread sticks out too much..

- I had TSW Indy 500's 19x9.5 w/40 offset tires 285 nittos on the 350. I just got an F and the tsw rear rims, hit the brakes. Should I use a spacer? I did try an 1/8th inch and still hitting the brakes. Could use a little help, thanks.
- I put them on for fun... and yes they rub. I'll be swapping them tonight. Anyway, I want something that looks like this...

If it rubs dropped it will rub at stock height too and likely at the worst time - when you have a serious load on the wheel. I'd never do a track day on a setup without at least 10mm of clearance with the wheel fully compressed. You'll be slicing your tires for sure.

For the most part, but the driver side is closer. I'm goning to end this pooh on Fri. I'm having one on the rims mounted with the 285/30/19 and I'll check the clearance. I've also got my hands on a fender roller... so best case it all works and I get my 285's, worst...I go with a 275.

As a tip, have the installer tape up the wheel edge with blue tape.
Since its painted, the slighest hard contact might scrape the paint.
Also, did you need any modifications to your IS350 rear fenders with that TSW wheel & 285/30 tire??

So the F pics with the TSW's those are 40 offset and not a 35. that is why I may have a chance with rolled fenders.
