The Reason for the 265/30, instead of 265/35, is that the 35 will look much thicker when you visually look at the side of the car.
The Front 235/35 balances well with a Rear 265/30...
Kinda like the oem tire sizes
Also, an IS250/IS350 will get some rubbing issues if lowered up front with our set up. The rears will clear just fine...
On the IS-F the fronts clear just fine, however on the rears, the fender lips needs shaving...

And I don't really mind if the rear is thicker, I just want to get closer to the stock rolling diameter.
oo, so you purposely did tht. but giantfans say that you will get a 3 km off reading on your speed. is that true for you?
when you say shaving is require, i'll read that multiple times else where, wht does it actually do. taking a knife and cutting the inside well of the wheel? XD

The Front Fender bolt & tab usually becomes an issue for the IS250/IS350 once lowered about an inch.
**But not for the IS-F.
For the 265/30 - Yes I have been aware of the 3% difference for years now... Its basically 3% "too fast".... So when you're rolling @ 60mph, the speedo will display 62 mph...
When you switch to 265/35 - it's basically 1% "too slow".. So when you're rolling at 60 mph, the speedo will display 59 mph..
Either way not a major issue...

Joe, when you say lowered, how low do you mean? I'm planning on getting F-Sport or H&R springs (Defiantly NOT slammed!), but don't want to rub. Just from eyeballing it looks ok, but if worst comes to worst I wouldn't mind shaving 1 or 2 mm off the center hub of the wheel to raise the offset to +31 or +32 like another member did.
And I don't really mind if the rear is thicker, I just want to get closer to the stock rolling diameter.
Its 3%, and yes, Joe and I have the same setup ... you can use any tire calculator online to figure out the difference in rolling diameters between different tire sizes.

Well I was lowered about an 1" on coils on the IS350, and was running a more square tire (Yokohama Advan Sports)..
I never had springs, so I'm not too sure..
