I hope Lexus never puts a manual in the F cars. Who needs it these days? A clutch-less manual, basically what the IS-F has, is much faster and much more fun. You don't see manuals in any pro racing anymore these days for the same reason. it's slower.
Plus the 8th speed is so awesome for highway cruising. I've heard of people getting 27 mpg on the highway with the IS-F

Its going to come down to preference. I have friends who will only drive German cars. They can admire Japanese and even American attempts at performance, but when they shell it out they want a Benz or a Bimmer. I am the exact opposite. I admire the German cars and even one or 2 american cars, but when I put my cash on the table I want a Japanese car for the reliabilty, performance, and value

[QUOTE=Dave600hL;4543362]I drove all 4 cars and choose the IS-F. Why did I choose the IS-F over those cars mentioned? I just liked it better. I must be a fan boy or brainwashed.![Egads!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif)
And if I wanted a fast car I wuld not be looking at the C63 , M3, RS4 or IS-F, to me that is not their one and only purpose. What I am trying to say, I liked the overall package that the F provided.[/QUOTE]
That hits the nail on the head.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

imho all these cars (rs4, m3, c63, is-f) are great cars, they are good at certain things, and lose out on some others. i do not think any of them is the "best" or "perfect" choice. depending on different people's need and most importantly, personal preference, one of them will come out on top
the rs4 sucks
the m3 sucks (all of them)
and the c63 raped my *** a few weeks ago, so **** them too
the is-f is the BEST, it's a legend
next to the M5, next to the 575M, and many other cars i can't think of right now
it's a keeper.

They all are superb. Lets not act like the IS-F is the greatest car of all time that is NOT the intention of this thread.

I could have gone either way, IS-F or M3.
What swayed me were the details, the devil is in the details.
The M3 has sleeker styling on the outside.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The IS-F has a better interior.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The M3 has no spare tire.![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
The M3 has terrible paint.![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
The ISF has outstanding paint.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The M3 has a 6 spd manual![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The M3 is a gas guzzler and taxed that way![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
The IS-F gets good gas mileage!![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The IS-F 8-spd semiauto is sweet![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The IS-F exterior lines are odd viewed from some angles![Thumb Down](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsdown.gif)
The M3 has free maintenance![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The M3 service intervals for free oil changes are ridiculous 15,000 miles
(You're not going to collect much free maintenance)
The M3 can be purchased for European delivery. European vacation!![Woot](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/woot.gif)

The Lexus I believe will be a more reliable prospect overall, and I'm happy with it.
The only thing I'm not happy about, no place besides a racetrack to enjoy its limits. (And every panel creaks and squeaks over rough pavement).

Infact it's probably one of the worst cars of all time
But it's a legend
Other cars I'd add to the legend list:
W211 E55
NOT THE E60 M5, only the E39 M5
550M, I'll have to reconsider the 575M
350Z
I'll have to think of more

Tell me boys on the reliability end how would you rank them?
I mean out of all these cars in the first 5-10/100K years/miles of ownership?
Which one will be at the shop for unexpected repairs the least and which one of the owners is going to be in a rental talking to the Service Dept Manager?
Some people just don't have time for that sH__T.
