Anyone know how it connects to "car"? Is it just plug in thing that u can plug out when taking to dealers?

thanks for any info on this

p.s. anyone seen video of isf doing more then 285km/h(275km/h gps)?

Hi, the right part from HKS will be this:

http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/...type_is_f.html

and concerning the plug and play I don't know, will contact Clark (VIP) tomorrow for further info cause this device is been release for the japanese version of the car. Lets see if it works on our us spec cars.

Well I found something:

http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm/HKS-VAC-...us-IS-F-57910#

and they specify that it comes with a plug and play harness, lets hope it works on our us spec cars.

The SLD doesn't work for our ISF's but HKS Japan has a VAC(Velocity advanced computer) unit which works and deletes the Speed Limiter but it costs about 1500 usd just for the unit and must be ordered from Japan because HKS USA doesn't carry it.

Unless you are on a track isn't 155 a one way ticket to jail, and in many states the loss of your vehicle? Not sure why the need for 186. I see clips of guys running hard on public roads, and I wonder if they realize that is someones family they are racing past. Sorry guys just getting old.

Why on earth would you want to go any faster than 175mph, and where could you try it out anyway?

This mod is pretty much something I would consider of doing if I modded my car crazy and didn't know what to do to it nomore. Anyhow the purpose of this VAC unit is because on most cars or every car in Japan has a 180 kph speed limiter/governor and they need this to go past that.

I see that, and I hadn't noticed that b4....but that speed, tho it might be legal, is just as chancy there.

Bon chance, mon ami. I don't know you but still wouldn't want to lose you to some momentary indulgence...

There has been NO confirmation if this product will work on a US Spec IS-F...

Time for one of you guys to research this some more..

Small piece of news from Lexus documentation - maximum cruising speed for the IS-F is 140 mph. This means sustained speeds in excess of 140 will likely cause some kind of major failure - typically engine failure because the cooling system isn't built for a continuous 416 hp, but might also be transmission failure. You'll have warnings about it, but keep this in mind if you intend to do high speed runs.

I wouldn't be making any plans to drive the autobahn at a sustained speed over 140 in a US spec car. I don't have access to the European version of TIS, so I can't say if the European IS-F has the same limits, but for absolute sure, it is the limit for US IS-Fs.

don't want to say that word, but it is BULL...IT

been driving on speeds 260-280 for continius 200km for at least 10 times and had absolutely no problems in anything. No coling system heating, no oil heating (never more then 3 marks).

For example I am able to get 4 marks on oil meter while showing someone a car (making start from 0-280, braking hard, taking off from motorway, making aroung to get back to it in different direction and coming back to place where we start)
