I got my 15K Mile Service done at a local Dealership here, but now when I'm driving my car on the interstate 75mph+ I feel a vibration in the car.

The steering wheel is not shaking, but the body of the car itself is...any idea what it may be?

The TPMS doesn't show any tire pressure issues...


I'm a bit skeptical, because a friend of mine had a horrible experience at the dealership a day or 2 after I got my service done, so I don't know if I want to go back there :-\

 

go back there, make them make it right, get a discount on your service...

 

Oh well... I called the a Service Rep and left a message on his VM.

I worked with him on my first visit there, which was the best...

Ever since then they just kept getting worse... and worse...

 

Did they do anything with the tires? Rotation?

 

sounds like they didnt balance your rear tires properly or they didnt center in the wheel before gunning it on

 

I looked up the service guide and the only thing close to tires and wheels are inspecting the brakes and tread wear...

I'll have a technician check it out tomorrow, because Lexus's Service Dept. is closed on Sundays =(


I just hope they didn't screw anything up...

 

I thought you don't have to balance them unless you get new tires?

All I know is it rode beautifully from 0-150mph before the service...

Now once I get to 70-75mph its just vibrating and shaking like an hold Honda Accord...

 

Sorry you had a bad experience. I just had my 15K service today as well, and tire rotation/balance is not part of the 15K service. I requested a tire balance today just because I wanted it, which was extra of course. I fortunately had a great experience as usual with Sewell Lexus in Dallas. I took my service rep for a spin when I picked it up because she wanted to experience the power of the F. Oh... and the service guys were complimentary of the Joe-Z intake and exhaust!!

 

I'm sure you guys already know that they can not rotate the tires on this car. Front rear stagger, and rotation direction on the tires.

Well when I hear the verdict from the mechanic tomorrow I will know if I will be taking my service rep for a spin Tuesday morning...

The mechanic said it might just need to be balanced, but I will wait and see... I should be getting a call Monday morning...
