Default Low oil

hey guys I have about 3500 miles on my f and I just checked the oil and it is at the lowest reading on the stick

Should I be checking it after a good drive with the engine off or on?
Cause I checked it while I warmed her up in the morning with the engine off

Also could I just fill it up with regular 5w30 being as to it is on the original oil from the factory or would the dealer top off the oil for me?

You usually have to wait a while after the car has turned off to check the oil because it isn't all back in the pan yet.

Check it regularly (engine off), after sitting for a few minutes on level ground. When you fuel up is a good time to check.

As the engine is new, it might use more than usual. Keep the oil level near the full mark.

Any good quality 5W30 engine oil will suffice.
If you go to synthetic oil after break-in, you should use the same oil to top it off.

Enjoy the new F.......she's a beauty.

Checking oil... how do you do that?

I have not checked oil on a car for about 10 years now.
