beautiful exhaust job!

just out of curiosity, why not a single pipe to the passenger side? that definitely will save a lot more weight and cost. it also appear s to be less angled compared to the driver side pipe. as long as the pipe is large enough in diameter, performance should not suffer.

Its just the angle of the picture, both sides exit in the same vector. Sure the single exit would be the lightest and I can certainly make that as well if people are interested, but I think it would look horroble.
The next step in the project to finish off the look is to wrap up the tips in a carbon diffuser that will force air past them and provide some good vac as well as clean up the apperance.

The work looks great. The single tip out of the trapezoid opening looks bad though. I wish someone would make a tip that matches the shape of the opening.

BTW, what kind of pricing are you thinking for this exhaust?

Well, I may be in a bit of a pickle because I am not Sure HKS is importing the Ti canisters anymore...still checking what the current exchange rate and price will be. As it stands...its going to be in the $1500-$1800 range depending on what my totals end up being. That is without the CF diffuser tips that will dress things up. I assure you things will look like they blonf when its all done

Hi Guys, I finally got this on and running this weekend and the sound is...awesome. Mostly a low rumble note and after the intake kicks in the exhaust note fades off..at least in the cabin. Power is good as well, I will not make it to the Dyno before SEMA but I will surely do so when I get back.
A few things I need to do.

-It turns out the right side is slightly angled differently...and I mean slight. But I am a pefectionest, or at least a practical perfectionist, so I will be fixing this in the final jig.
- I am still on the fence on the spring retention on the Ti cans. Top and botom seem unecessary, I only have bottom on my setup now, and so I may consider leaving the top off, both for clearance and cost.
-Molding the diffusers will take a bit, but that is the next major step. I will post up as soon as I have a mock up.

I have taken sound clips of both inside and out...but alas..where is my firewire cable? I will post them up as soon as I can.

nice job.

would be even more informative if you had a recording of stock exhaust for comparison.

I can do that when I pull this off to finish the jig.
My custom ball flange adapters came today from manufacturing so I should be getting close to production ready once I finish the details.

dyno results. A few things I noticed. Good offset in the curve until the crossover point. My exhaust has a sloping peak whereas the stock dyno from last year is flat. Granted all peak gains are not huge, smoothing is set to 5 and 6th gear pulls on both. Not too bad for y-pipe change and new mufflers.

Also, one thing that I noticed is the lean AFR from my previous Dyno. Could it be the increase efficiency of the Cat's over time since this AFR measurement is post both Cats? The car has 19K miles on it, I am wondering if the DFI is that good at getting to just below stoich. Vid later

Update. The tubular hangers I designed were not to my specs when I received the first article so I am trying to deal with the tube bender to get things right. I asked for 12mm tubing and got half inch and the flare end forming is wrong. Also, I think I had clogged injectors on the last dyno run which would explain the leaness. I through some 44k in the car and the mileage is back to where it should be. 28MPG is I take it easy and much less if I stomp on it. My average was down to 19 from 21 in previous months so I will redyno to confirm.

Also, I started the 3d scan of the exhaust opening and so far things are looking good (except my scanner crashing window7 all the time.) I should have some concepts to share with you all soon.
