OEM glass? That'll run you about $1400.

I know where you found it, and that price doesn't include shipping, installation, or tax.

^True, but cost is pretty irrelavant if you can't get the thing. Shipping glass is not cheap.

correct and correct.

i have florida insurance - therefore ZERO deductible.

unfortunately, as i have found out - i haven't been able to find a single lexus dealer that does their own glass work.

the one where i am (on vacation ;-) ) here in colorado springs...

uses SAFELITE

HO HUM, game on - i have to get pics before they rip this thing apart so i can sue the snot out of them for screwing it up.
(no, i have NO FAITH in SAFELITE)

i did demand OEM glass - wanna bet that they show up with a piece of PPG ?

Make sure they're replacing the oem windshield mouldings with the glass. If they reuse the original mouldings, you may have leakage problems later on.

Because the IS F has rain sensors, most reputable companies will only opt for Lexus OEM glass. There are no companies to my knowledge that offers rain sensor glass for the F.

If the ISF is like my other car with a rain sensor, the sensor is removed and remounted on the new glass.

Right, but the mount for the rain sensor has to be on the glass in the first place. AFAIK, the aftermarket isn't making glass with the mount yet.
