That is a SICK setup!

Let me know next time you go to PBIR or if your in the Miami area. I would love to see it in person.

I can take a jack with me to PBIR if you need.

Thanks for the feedback. If you had made it to the N. Miami show you would have seen it!

There is a track event going on this coming Friday:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/flo...7-31-09-a.html

I should be there... Try and make it out if you can. If you can get one of your customers with an exhaust out too, that'd be awesome. I'd love to hear it.

Anyone have any recommendations for rim + drag tire combos that'll fit on the -F?
I'd like some street legal tires so I dont have to swap @ the track....

You won't find much for the 19" wheels. 18" is the way to go at the drag stip. MT Street ET's work well.

yeah.. 17-18 is what I was thinking.. .just wanted to see if anyone had any specific recommendations. I think you mentioned you ran on 2IS (non-f) wheels? I might consider that, but would also consider something a little wider.. just not sure what. Not looking to dump a lot of $$

Yeah i got some cheap rear wheels from an IS350 and threw on some 245/40/18 MT Street ET's. Plenty of grip even for your setup and it's not expensive.

I second that - 245s are plenty wide and have more than enough traction for a stock IS-F. I have the same 245/40/18s but mine are on Volk RE30's which are 18x8.5 and the offset is like +50? I'd turn on the nitrous on 1st gear at the strip so you can get 1.8 second 60' or less.

I'm just wondering how the car will sit on the 18's in the rear with the 19's in the front and the suspension left as-is... so.. now to find a cheap pair of 18's.

he should get much better results than that but with the stock is350 wheel you can fit a 255 even a 265 if you wanted to but also I would want more sidewall on the tires than a 40 series could offer id want atleast a 50 I know people who run 255 65 17 on nitrous 350z's and they get 1.3 60' then talked to them and said they work a lot better with more meat on em

Not going to happen with the IS-F tranny. 1.8 60ft even with N20 is optimistic IMHO. Also you have to keep in mind the gearing changes when going with a larger or smaller tire diameter. The reason we went with 245/40/18 is because it's close to the stock size but just a tad shorter which equals quicker acceleration without incurring an extra gear change. There is no benefit in going with a taller diameter tire or anything wider with the grip the 245 width drag tires offer.

Here ya go man. Not beautiful but functional and relatively cheap.

Are you running the 18x8's or 18x8.5 IS rims? I'm not having much luck finding either.
